Nicole sees Sami and all of her anger, disappointment, and emotion about her own failed pregnancy comes out. Nicole contemplates confronting Sami, but is stopped by the arrival of Sister Theresa. Sami speaks to Sister Theresa while Nicole secretly listens to Sami's plan to keep her baby at the convent. After Sami leaves, Nicole seeks Sister Theresa's guidance under an alias, and puts her own plan for Sami in motion by giving Sister Theresa a card for Dr. Baker's clinic. When Nicole tries to leave, Sami returns and knocks on the door. John recovers his memories, but may remain nothing but a physical vegetable from the neck down. Marlena decides that cannot happen. Time being of the essence, Marlena takes charge and decides to go with John to Europe for treatment. John and Marlena share heartfelt goodbyes with Brady, Roman, and Kayla. Even Stefano shows up, and is upset when he is given the cold shoulder. Before leaving, John and Marlena are married once again in an emotional impromptu ceremony. Daniel and Chloe fight their desire unsuccessfully while Kate gives Lucas a warning about keeping Sami in his life. After Lucas brings up his weird run in with Daniel, Kate goes to see Daniel herself. She goes to Daniel apartment and knock, but thinks better of it and leaves, just as Chloe opens the door to see Kate leaving. Chloe panics at the thought of almost being caught. Will she change her mind?
