While Lexie congratulates EJ on his new addition to the family, Nicole comes close to telling all to Chloe, but backtracks and gets her promise to tell no one, ever, that Nicole knows about Sami's baby. Meanwhile, Brady has a discussion about Melanie taking the fuels project away from Titan. Victor warns Brady to be wary of such charmers and brings up Brady's past with Chloe and Nicole. Brady leaves disgusted, and arrives to the DiMera mansion to find out that Nicole has acquired a baby. Nicole lies that the baby's birth mother is Mia, but must admit to continuing to deceive EJ, and the two get into it as EJ arrives. EJ demands to know what is going on. As Nicole's plan begins to unravel the baby has a health crisis. Philip and Stephanie talk about what "almost" happened between them the night Kayla was shot, and admit that the two are falling for each other. Meanwhile at the pier, Melanie covers her hurt towards Philip and Stephanie with anger. Melanie arrives at Titan and tells Philip she is leaving the company, and even calls EJ in front of him, throwing down a challenge. After Melanie "fires" Philip, Victor tells Philip that Melanie is becoming a liability that must be dealt with. Stephanie is disturbed by the tone and manner she observes when she hears Philip agreeing to bury her. Daniel watches nervously, but Maggie ultimately doesn't tell Lucas anything. Kate expresses her fear to Daniel that Sami may return and threaten Lucas' future with Chloe, unaware that the real threat is in front of her. Chloe goes to Daniel, worried due to what Maggie said to him and they make love. Daniel insists that Maggie will not tell for now, and they just have to be more careful because he will not give her up. However, Chloe remains guilt-ridden, not sure what she should do next.
