Kayla won't leave the hospital until she sees baby Joe. The baby is still not breathing on his own. The nurse allows Steve and Kayla to reach into the incubator and touch Joe's tiny hands. Steve and Stephanie surprise Kayla by taking her home to their new apartment. Kayla is thrilled until she finds out they are subleasing the place from EJ DiMera. Professor Dicario tells Stephanie and Morgan he has reviewed their internship tapes and they are both did extraordinarily well. Mark and David, the cameramen, record the evaluation. Nicole bursts in on Chloe and Philip in bed. Nicole and Chloe get into a major fight and Philip is forced to pick Nicole up and carry her out. Chloe says she'll stay at the mansion until Victor returns. At the pub, Nicole introduces herself to Ava and they strike up a conversation. Suddenly EJ appears and they both introduce him as their attorney. They laugh at the coincidence. Marlena tries to convince EJ that he needs to give Sami and Lucas some privacy. EJ can't imagine Marlena giving up on John and he will not give up on Samantha. Marlena asks EJ if he thinks John is capable of drug trafficking. EJ tells her that as his attorney, he'd rather not know.
