Lucas is hiding on the pier. He sees Chloe crying and feels bad so he calls her on her cell and tells her Philip is not worth her tears. Grateful, Chloe suggests they form an alliance of their own. Later, Lucas runs into Paul on the pier. Ava arrives for her dinner with John. They seem to hit it off and are able to relax together. John kisses Ava. Roman arrives and asks to speak with Lucas but Sami covers for him. Just then, Lucas saunters in from the other room wearing his ankle bracelet. Nick gets Max to admit that he changed Nick's work. Nick tells the dean he's giving the grant money back - Max should get the credit for Nick's work. Morgan gets a call from Paul warning her to stay away from Philip Kiriakis. Paul also calls Philip and tells him to stay away from his daughter. At the hospital, Kate calls Daniel on his feelings for Chelsea. Daniel says he's doing his best to severe their connection. Chelsea walks in and overhears - she is not happy.
