Max tells Steve he needs help finding his biological sister. Kayla urges Max to tell Caroline everything. Max takes her advice and tells Caroline about the young woman who he believes may be his half-sister. Caroline understands though she's overcome emotionally. Steve finds out the number Max called is assigned to a Melanie Layton. Trent asks Nicole what's going on with her and EJ. He wants Nicole to break it off now. Nicole tells EJ they should go their separate ways. Bo, Roman and Abe give Morgan the letter they found in Paul's suitcase. Morgan reads the letter, in which Paul mentions that he's leaving her something important to use as proof if anything should happen to him. Chloe tells Philip he's making a big mistake with Morgan and she's moving on. Philip questions and Chloe blurts out that she slept with Lucas. Lexie brings Theo to the police station to visit Abe. They talk about their next session with the marriage counselor.
