Marlena shows up at John's party wanting to know if he has accessed the disk. John tells her he is not going to access the data. The John she loved is dead. Ava sneaks into the lab and confiscates the disk just as John enters and finds her. The lights go out due to a power outage throughout Salem. Marlena overhears Ava pleading with John to destroy the disk. Marlena begs John not to throw away his past. Lucas overhears that Sami admitted she still has feelings for EJ. Upset, he leaves to see Chloe at the Salem Inn. Chloe and Lucas end up in an elevator just as the power goes out. Lucas leans in for a kiss. Sami tells EJ that despite her feelings for him she will always love Lucas. EJ is angry and leaves with Nicole. EJ and Nicole end up at the Salem Inn. They too get stuck in an elevator as the power outage hits Salem and begin to make wild, passionate love. Bo and Hope's party is in full swing. Victor chastises Daniel for not informing him he was dating his granddaughter. Bo tells Chelsea he thinks Daniel is too worldly for her. The blackout hits and Bo and Hope's house is not affected, nor is Chez Rouge because of their "green" conversion.
