While Stefano is out of the cell, Lucas rifles through his things and finds the cell phone. He calls Sami to ask why she hasn't returned his or his lawyer's messages. Lucas is livid to learn that she is going into hiding with EJ and the babies. Sami hangs up. Later, Stefano offers to spring Lucas from jail if he agrees to get Johnny away from Sami and EJ Philip comforts Belle, who is distraught over being stuck in the hospital and not feeling well enough to help find Claire. Philip holds her hand as she falls back asleep. Meanwhile, Crystal watches over a sleeping Claire. Marlena confides in Hope that she refuses to give up on John. She's heartened when John admits he had a dream about her. In private, John has flashes of their life together and is tormented by memories of Stefano.
