At a French bistro, Max is approached by a mysterious figure, Les and two friends. Les knows Max is looking for Melanie. Stephanie watches from afar. Les demands to know where Melanie is, threatening with his men. Trent can't reach Melanie by cell phone. Nick views pictures of Melanie and can't place where he's seen her. Trent approaches Nick, and asks where Max went. Nick covers for him, but wants to know why Trent is so interested. Trent says because he's my son. Nick discovers Melanie's video blog. As he watches she is first introduced as a hot party girl, with a sense of sadness. Mesmerized, Nick now realizes where he's seen her before. Sami and EJ bond over family time. They both apologize for their previous behavior, but EJ is not sure they can return to being friends, because of Lucas. Sami thinks this shouldn't be a problem; Lucas will be in prison for a long time. Sami gets a call from Roman urging her to come to see Lucas. He's in the hospital. Sami rushes out and EJ is disappointed. Chloe and Nicole find Lucas, badly beaten, at the hospital. Chloe and Lucas share a warm private moment. As Nicole leaves, she offers advice to Chloe: don't come between Sami and Lucas. Nicole gets a call from Trent telling her to work faster, find out why Max is in France. Nicole comes to EJ for legal advice about Trent. Trent has something big on her, and she needs help. Nicole reveals she was seduced by Trent in college, married him, and they are not divorced. This could void her settlement with Victor. She also reveals Trent ordered her to stay away from EJ.
