While Steve helps Caroline at the pub, Kayla rushes in, alerting her husband that she's ovulating. Steve wants to seduce her on the spot, but she insists they wait until she hits her "peak" time to conceive. Back at her suite, Kayla realizes it's time and frantically calls Steve... who is waiting right outside the door with flowers. Sami balks at EJ's suggestion of going into hiding to protect Johnny from Stefano. She refuses to be separated from her family. Back at the apartment, Sami and EJ continue to argue when they hear someone outside in the hallway. EJ calls Abe, who drops by to announce he arranged for a safe house for them. EJ and Sami continue to bond. John uses the scissors he took from Belle's room to cut through his restraints. His efforts are hampered by flashes of Stefano erasing memories of his life. He's finally about to escape when Hope and Marlena enter his room. Though Marlena still has hopes of getting her husband back, Roman, Bo and Hope warn her that she can't trust this new John.
