Nicole can't believe EJ has chosen Sami over her. She is devastated and begins drinking. Her imagination runs wild as she has a black and white Film Noir fantasy: In the 1940's era fantasy, EJ and Sami are in bed together. Sami hides in the closet when EJ's wife Nicole enters. Nicole is suspicious and later finds a woman's earring on the floor. Sami shows up at her husband Lucas's P.I. office. She realizes one of her earrings is missing. In a 1940's bistro, we find Chloe dressed in drab clothes. The owner, Philip, approaches and offers her a job. She auditions as a singer and get a full time gig. Later, Chloe goes to see her old boss Lucas and throws herself at him. Lucas says he can't cheat on his wife. Nicole shows up and wants to hire Lucas to find out whom EJ has been cheating with. Nicole hands him the earring she found. Lucas tells Nicole that his wife is sleeping with EJ. They head off to the bistro to catch EJ and Sami together. Lucas hears Chloe sing and is mesmerized. He can't get her out of his mind. EJ tells Nicole their marriage is over. Sami shows up to have a tryst with EJ and finds Nicole there instead. Nicole smothers Sami with a pillow.
