Kayla's in labor and learns the baby is coming tonight. Stephanie and Steve are with Kayla, all praying for the baby to survive. Kayla delivers a baby boy but he's not breathing. Victor wants to know what Chloe is doing back in his house. Philip stands up for Chloe and gets into it with Victor. Victor learns Philip has John's disk and is impressed. He hands over all of the Kiriakis business ventures to Philip. Chloe enters and learns Philip is now in charge. EJ gets a call from the prison and learns they have rejected his request to release Lucas. Sami is devastated. EJ comforts her but needs to know where he stands. He begs her to give him a good reason never to see Nicole again. Sami pulls him into a searing kiss and starts to undress him.
