EJ is trying to win John's trust because he wants to work for him. John tells EJ he's going to have to prove he's on John's side. EJ is having tea with Judge Karen Fitzpatrick. EJ tells the judge he is representing John Black who is trying to rebuild his reputation as a philanthropist and civic benefactor. She leaves. John watched the scenario on the closed circuit T.V. Sami discovers Lucas is being sent to a maximum security prison. She freaks out and begs Roman to do something.. Sami and Lucas have a moment alone before he is taken away. Max is on a train in France when Stephanie surprises him. She's taking this journey with him whether he likes it or not. Max is stunned but happy to see her. They end up making love in the sleeper car. Ava and Nicole meet up for lunch and share their troubles. Ava tells Nicole how she and John have gotten much closer, but Marlena is still standing in her way. Nicole can't stand it any longer and tells Ava about Trent Robbins and the mysterious secret he's holding over her. Nicole warns Ava that no one can know her secret. Marlena meets with Rolf and offers him a deal. She needs him to fix the broken disk that contains all of John's memories. If he agrees to do the job she will make sure he gets immunity. Rolf is unsure, doesn't think he can trust Marlena.
