A larger-than-life gambler (played by Jerry Springer) offers Nick advice about life and gambling. Bolstered, Nick takes a huge risk and wins almost $50,000! Nick shows Chelsea his winnings and blurts, "Let's get married!" Max trails Jeremy and Ilsa and asks what their connection is. Jeremy goes on the offensive and thinks he and Max shouldn't be partners anymore. Later, Max confronts the drunk guy, who reveals Ilsa is a prostitute. Chelsea informs Stephanie that Jeremy cheated on her with Ilsa. Steph confronts Jeremy about his one-night stand. Before Belle accepts Shawn's proposal, she asks why he lied about flying to Cleveland. Shawn claims he just drove around Salem. Shawn is ecstatic as he slips on the ring, but Belle's feelings are a bit more enigmatic. Kayla asks Steve if he'd like to have a baby. Steve says no, but Kayla won't accept that. She wants the chance to raise a child with Steve, which they didn't get to do with Stephanie.
