Taylor Walker played by Natalia Livingston
Taylor Walker is the sister of Nicole and Brandon and the daughter of Fay.
In August 1998, Taylor began working as a cleaning girl at Titan, where she became friends with Eric Brady. She developed a crush on him, but he was involved with her older sister, Nicole. Nicole, who wanted desperately to become a famous model, was ashamed of her past and wanted Taylor to leave town. However, Taylor refused and grew close to Eric. She began to resent Nicole for lying to everyone and for treating her and their mother like dirt.
After Lucas Horton had a car accident, Kate hired Taylor to be his physical therapist. Lucas had a crush on Nicole and proposed that he and Taylor break up Eric and Nicole. Ever the good girl, Taylor declined. Taylor was then shocked when Nicole abruptly married Lucas. She accused her sister of stringing Eric along while using Lucas to further her career. Disgusted with Nicole, Taylor left town in May 1999.
Taylor returned to Salem in January 2011, hoping to repair her relationship with Nicole. While walking alone on the pier one day, Taylor had a chance meeting with EJ DiMera and they formed an instant connection. Taylor was completely smitten with her new mystery man… unaware that he was about to marry her sister!
Natalia Livingston plays Taylor Walker
Emmy Award winner Natalia Livingston stars as Taylor Walker on NBC's "Days of our Lives."
Originally from Macon, Georgia, Livingston was raised by her father, a family physician, and her mother, a Spanish professor and artist. Growing up in a closely knit, bilingual home and fluent in Spanish, Livingston studied ballet for many years, most notably, at North Carolina School of the Arts. She received her B.A. from Emory University. Upon graduation, she quickly found a job working in her hometown hospital's neonatal intensive care unit in social work.
In 2001, Livingston moved from her small southern town to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting. She got a job working the day shift at the Hollywood Home Depot while she studied her craft at L.A.'s top theaters and acting studios at night. While working in the garden department, she was discovered by a talent manager and soon sent out on auditions. Livingston tested for and won the role of Emily on "General Hospital" (originally played by Amber Tamblyn). After only two years on the show, Livingston garnered daytime's highest honor - the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama - competing against some of Daytime's most honored winning actresses. In fact, Livingston was the only first-time nominee in her category. She loved every minute of her seven and a half years on "General Hospital" and still remains friends with many of her co-stars.
Livingston loves the outdoors, especially kayaking and running. She ran the L.A. Rock and Roll Half Marathon for the first time in 2010. She is training for another half marathon in February 2011 and the L.A. Full Marathon in March. Livingston also has a passion for traveling, which has taken her all over Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, India, Buenos Aires, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and South America. During her most recent trip to India, Livingston worked at Mother Teresa's Home for the Dying. She considers this one of the most profound experiences of her life and hopes to return someday.
This past year, Livingston produced a documentary called "The Man Who Ate New Orleans," which was featured as a top news story on abcnews.com and FOX news. The film is due out in 2011 and all proceeds will benefit Katrina victims.
