Chad DiMera played by Casey Deidrick

Chad Petersen came to Salem looking for his ex-girlfriend Mia. When that was a bust, Chad ended up transferring to Salem High School and getting a job at Java Cafe, hoping to see Mia more. What Chad didn't know was that Mia gave birth to his daughter the year before and gave it to Nicole Walker to raise with EJ. Later, it was revealed that the baby was switched at birth with Sami's baby Grace, who died.

Chad became suspicious when Nicole defended Mia, telling Chad to stop bugging her about what she was doing when she first arrived in Salem. Chad resorted to eavesdropping on conversations. One day, h heard Mia talk to Brady about "the baby." Chad demanded Mia tell him everything. When she came clean, he went straight to Nicole and EJ to demand custody of his child. Then the devastating truth was revealed: Nicole was raising Sami's biological baby, and Chad and Mia's daughter had died. Together, they mourned the loss of the child they never knew.

Chad had a strained relationship with his father, and was often comforted by his mother Madeline during their heated arguments. When Chad noticed Madeline having more and more private conversations with Kate Roberts, he became suspicious of the friendship. Chad would later find out that his mother paid for law school by turning to prostitution years ago. When he found out the truth, he turned his back on her. When Madeline died of a brain aneurysm, Chad was wrecked with sadness and guilt. Kate, a prostitute friend of Madeline from years ago, became a mother figure to Chad. Chad would later find out why Kate was taking extra interest in him during this emotional time. Kate knew Madeline's dark secret: Chad is Stefano DiMera's biological son!

Casey Deidrick plays Chad DiMera

Casey Deidrick, a relatively new, young actor, will skateboard his way into the hearts of "Days of our Lives" fans as Chad on the long-running NBC drama. Skateboarding for over 10 years, he even competed at the age of 17 in the 2004 Vans World Amateur Competition.

Casey is a native Californian, born in Santa Clara and raised in Arizona, until his family ultimately settled in Hollister, California.

His first venture into theater was in his high school play, "Carousel." He is inspired by actors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Heath Ledger.

Casey's other television credits include a recurring role on "90210" and a role on "Hannah Montana."

Casey is very multi-faceted and also sings in the heavy metal band A Dreadful Fall, which has recently recorded for the first time. He is an avid reader, loves movies and listening to loud music that he says "no one understands."
