He graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Theater Arts, served in the US Navy as an intelligence officer on active duty in Panama and later in the reserves attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He currently resides in Los Angeles. He is married to actress Sherry Rooney-Aniston and they have a son, Alexander. His birthday is July 24.

Victor Kiriakis first arrived in Salem in 1985. Caroline Brady was not happy to see him, because it would later be revealed that he was Bo Brady's biological father. Victor also discovered he had an illegitimate daughter, Isabella. When Isabella died of cancer, Victor vowed to turn his life around and be a respectable businessman.

Victor started Titan Industries and teamed up with Kate Roberts. He eventually fell in love with her and wanted her to bear him a child. Kate went to a fertility clinic, only to have her embryos switched by scheming Vivian who wanted to carry Victor's child herself. Vivian gave birth to Victor's child and named him Philip. Victor suffered a stroke before being able to confront Vivian about the switching of embryos and was moved into a nursing home.

After Victor overcame the obstacles of his stroke, he started a relationship with an unlikely partner, Nicole Walker. They married in a lavish New Year's Eve ceremony and set out to make each other's lives a living hell. Eventually, they split up, and Nicole headed to Los Angeles.

When Grandpa Shawn passed away, Victor escorted Caroline to his funeral and remained a crutch for her to lean on during that difficult time. Their son Bo was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after Shawn's death, and Victor had his very talented godson, surgeon Daniel Jonas, flown in to operate on him.

Victor's troubles were just beginning, as Vivian returned to town to wreak havoc, setting out to win his heart once and for all. He initially teamed up with Vivian to bring down a mutual enemy, Carly Manning, but when Victor realized how far Vivian was willing to take this revenge, he made an agreement with her. Victor would marry Vivian if she backed off her plot to destroy Carly. Vivian agreed, but as she moved into the Kiriakis mansion, Victor began having second thoughts about his new arrangement, especially since he was growing closer to the widowed Maggie Horton.

Eventually, Victor won Maggie's heart, and they were married during a blizzard. Their relationship continues to be complicated as Victor tries to live up to his new bride's high standards.
