Born in San Antonio, Texas, Steve Howey spent his early childhood growing up on sailboats with his parents. After his second year in college, Howey began to take more interest in acting and enrolled in his father's (acting coach Bill Howey) class.

Howey is best known as Van Montgomery on the hit WB/CW series "Reba," where he starred alongside Reba McEntire and Joanna Garcia. Steve has also had memorable appearances shows including "ER," "Surviving Suburbia," and "The Drew Carey Show."

Steve can next be seen this fall in the feature film "Stan Helsing," written and directed by Bo Zenga. He has also appeared in the feature films "Bride Wars" opposite Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, "DOA: Dead or Alive" opposite Matthew Marsden and Jaime Pressly, and "Supercross" with Mike Vogel, Sophia Bush and Cameron Richardson.

Howey currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Sarah Shahi. The two are expecting a child in early July.
