Jim Rash stars as Dean Pelton, the ultra-efficient and slightly neurotic Greendale Community College Dean in NBC's "Community."
Rash was a series regular on NBC's "The Naked Truth" and ABC's "Help Me, Help You." His television guest roles include the character Fenton on "That '70s Show" and Andrew on "Reno 911!" Additional television credits include "Will & Grace," "CSI" and "Eli Stone," and he appeared in the final episode of "Friends."
Rash's film work includes "Sky High," in which he gained notice portraying Mr. Grayson/Stitches, a sidekick to the super villain "Royal Pain" in the 2005 film. His additional film work includes the popular film "Slackers," in which he played the role of the head teacher's assistant Philip, "S1m0ne," "One Hour Photo," "Balls of Fury," and "The Slammin' Salmon."
Rash is a 10-year member of the popular Groundlings Theatre ensemble in Los Angeles. He, along with fellow Groundling Nat Faxon, created and co-executive produced the pilot "Adopted" for ABC.
Rash has also turned to screenwriting, and one of his projects, based on "The Descendants," is currently in production. Alexander Payne is directing the project and George Clooney is starring in the film.
