Noah Schuffman  (SEBASTIAN)

Q: What was your favorite scene to film for Coastal Dreams?
A: I enjoyed shooting the scene where Sebastian takes Christian down with chloroform. I know it sounds demented, but it was fun to take Charlie down like that... it gave me a taste of what it would have been like to be a pro wrestler.

Q: What did you think when you first met your co-stars? Good chemistry?
A: I heard that the chemistry was awful until I arrived... just kidding, it was great! I actually arrived on set a day later than the rest of the cast. When I arrived, there was a great chemistry already, and everyone was very friendly and a lot of fun to work with. We had great conversations on and off the set. I really enjoy working with everyone in the cast!

Q: What was the vibe on the set?
A: I guess you could say that it was fast, furious, and a lot of fun. We shot multiple pages a day and had to move very quickly between takes and shots, but the director, Mark, kept the atmosphere lighthearted and easy going.

Q: What did you think about your character?
A: I like Sebastian... I think he gets a bad rap. C'mon, who doesn't fight for the one they love? I don't know if I would fight in quite the same manner that he does, but his intentions are good.

Q: What drama and excitement would you like to see in Season Two?
A: I would like to see that Sebastian isn't the horrible creep that everyone thinks he is. Maybe we will find out that Mirabelle has cast a spell on him that makes him creep around everywhere and always wear O.J. gloves.

I would love to see Sebastian form an alliance or two with a couple of the other characters. Who knows... we might find out that he isn't really the bad guy after all... or is he?

Q: How do you think online/interactive dramas are different/better from conventional television?
A: I like the online shows, because you can watch them at your leisure. You aren't restricted to a certain time slot. Also, it is really cool to have all the extras (interviews, behind the scenes, games, bios) that you wouldn't get on a conventional TV series until the DVD comes out. Plus, it's pretty rad that you can go to a chat room/blog right from the site and talk about the show.

Q: What do you think is the future of interactive television?
A: Before too long, we are going to be downloading shows directly to our television sets. I read the other day that Netflix has already put this in motion and will start a new service by the end of the year, where you instantly download the movie to your TV with no wait time. Pretty sweet! I think that eventually television and movies will be almost like a complete virtual experience. There will be some kind of 360 degree goggles that you wear so that you are totally immersed in the show.

Q: What do you use the internet for? [i.e. music downloads, news, myspace, etc.]
A: I am not really a computer/internet buff. As I am a big sports fan, I spend most of my time reading ESPN or STLToday.com (huge St. Louis Cardinals fan!). I also spend a lot of time on CNN. I did, however, recently get addicted to youtube and itunes and love to buy music online.

Q: Tell us a little bit about your career. What projects are you working on now?
A: Since we shot the first season of Coastal Dreams, I appeared on Days of our Lives and was a participant in ABC's Diversity Showcase in November. The showcase is put on every year (one in LA and one in NY) to help promote diversity in the industry and showcase talent in the Los Angeles area. It was a lot of work but tons of fun and very rewarding. I am very proud to have been a part of the program. At the moment, things have slowed slightly due to the strike, but I am working on a short film that will finish shooting by the end of January.
