Emmett Milbarge

The Burbank Buy More mourns the loss of Emmett Milbarge: store manager, family member -- and friend.

Our hearts are filled with sorrow after the senseless crime that took our Emmett away from us, but he will be forever remembered as a true team member, a kind and generous soul who could always be counted on to lend an ear, a hand, or a pat on the back. His generosity and comradery notwithstanding, Emmett rose through the ranks at Buy More Corporate from efficiency expert to manager, who not only kept his store in tip-top shape, but to whom employees could look forward to working with every day.

A patron of fine arts, domestic wines, and fruit roll-ups, Emmett was also an avid scrapbooker who once planned on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, if not for an unfortunate tumble down a flight of stairs leaving him with a strained calf muscle for two weeks. He reportedly leaves behind a girlfriend, Henrietta, though little information about their relationship is known. He will be sorely missed.
