From Jeff: I've always loved the eerie sound of the Theremin. It's the first, and in many ways, the ultimate electronic instrument. Here's my beauty, a Burns Deluxe. A few scratches on the black base, but a very clean sine wave output and a tone as sweet as it is haunting.
Lester Patel was identified early on as a versatile and powerful vocalist; he is currently the lead singer of the much-in-demand party band Jeffster. A gifted composer, he has written dozens of pop songs as well as "Virus/rebuild," an experimental symphony for monophonic synthesizer. His stylistic influences include Morrissey, Kurt Cobain, Bon Scott, Billy Joel, and Madonna.
Jeff is Jeffster's multi-talented keyboardist, composer, rhythm section, and sound technician. His musical journey began as a child when he first heard Jethro Tull's Acqualung (on vinyl of course) and continues to this day. After showing great promise as a vibraphone player in his high school's jazz ensemble, he went on to play in a variety of rock 'n' roll bands; Jeffster is his current project. His influences include Herbie Hancock, Greg Rollie, Rick Wakeman, and John Cage.
