Rodger Corser | Roger Shepard
Corser has worked extensively in television, theater and film and is especially well known to Australian audiences from his appearances in several notable series. Corser's acclaimed portrayal of Detective Steve Owen in "Underbelly" began a successful run of roles that has kept the actor busy over the past few years.
Following "Underbelly," Corser went on to play the lead role of Lawson Blake in the popular drama series "Rush," which ran for four seasons on Australia's Channel 10. Also during this time, Corser garnered attention playing the hilarious Steve Darling, alongside Claudia Karvan and Matt King, in the series "Spirited."
In 2007, Corser appeared in the USA Network miniseries "The Starter Wife," alongside Debra Messing and Judy Davis.
Additional television work includes "Stingers," "McLeod's Daughters," "Home and Away" and "Water Rats." Corser's first leading role in a TV series was as Adam Logan in 2005's "Last Man Standing."
His work in theater includes his breakout performance as Roger in the 1998 premiere Australian season of the musical "Rent." He followed that performance with additional performances in "Below" and "Leader of the Pack."
Corser's film work includes roles in Jonathan Teplitzky's 2011 movie "Burning Man," and Simon Wincer's "The Cup" in the same year.
This summer Corser will also reprise his role of Ferris Hennessy in the hit series "Puberty Blues."
