My dad came by the set to watch them shoot the challenge this week on Venice beach. It was so fun getting to introduce him to everyone. I was standing near Phil, David and B when he walked up…they asked me who that new guy was, I said “That’s my dad!” My dad got a kick out of watching production, and seeing the challenge. He was pretty impressed by everyone – and certainly at how Phil managed to win for the Red Team.
But my dad did find the opportunity to tell embarrassing stories about me in front of Bill, Jim, B and Amy. Yup – parents can always squeeze in the chance to embarrass their kids, right?! But overall, I loved having him see where I work and sharing that with him.
It was a very difficult elimination. I was so upset to see the Red Team lose the weigh-in again. It was clearly an incredibly difficult decision for them all. I just hope they are able to pull through and stay focused after saying goodbye to Phil.
