I hope you all are having a fantastic summer. It has been fun, exciting and certainly jam packed for me. I am typing this blog while sitting at a lovely tea shop in Martha’s Vineyard, MA, on vacation (finally!).

Both shows are on hiatus right now, so I headed out to the east coast to get a little r&r with the family.
I’ve never been here before, but we chose this spot because I needed to be close to New York City, because I hosted a live auction, literally in the middle of Times Square to help Clothes Off Our Back. They have an online auction going on right now ( www.washingmyjeans.com has all the info)!

The Biggest Loser is premiering on September 16th. This season is all about Families.
We’ve focused our teams by choosing 4 teams of parents and their children and 4 teams of husbands and wives. Because of the intense family dynamics being added into the mix, it allows Bob & Jillian more than ever, the opportunity to really get at the root of what has led these people to obesity and given them the tools to help them get healthy. There are some really special people this season. As we go through shooting each episode, I feel I really get to connect with the contestants and their journeys. And I know you will feel the same way I did – rooting for them to believe in themselves, to give it everything they have, watching them appreciate and take advantage of the incredible opportunity to train with Bob and Jillian on this amazing ranch. Each and every season, I am grateful to be part of such a powerfully positive, inspirational show. Just last night, a woman stopped me to say she felt the show had helped change her life. She explained to me that for her it went beyond weight loss, that watching people overcome such difficult obstacles, pushing themselves to the limits, motivated her to believe she could do that for herself, even though her personal problem had nothing to do with weight loss. How amazing is that?? Well, I hope you are looking forward to watching this season as much as I am. The breakthroughs, successes, and struggles will astound you.
