Okay, I had the busiest day yesterday!!! Just crazy. I was up at 4:30am for a 5:30am make-up call. And I couldn't believe it - Ben slept through the night!!!! When I left the house he was still sleeping soundly, and I asked Dave to text me when he woke up. I was so impressed!!! Anyway, I got ready for a 'satellite tour'. Which means I am interviewed by a whole bunch of NBC affiliate stations all morning long. Each station does about a 5 or 6 minute interview, and from 7am until 10:15, we go from interview to interview. It turned out to be really fun because I was being interviewed with Justin Hartley from Passions. He is a really funny guy. We had a good time giving hints to our upcoming storylines this summer for both shows. Passions has some really exciting stuff coming up - an earthquake, and lots of cool special effects and stunts and stuff. Justin had really great stories about it.
Right after we were done with our interviews, I had to rush over to set. My work call was 10:30am. There was a bit of a make-up and hair change, which I really can't talk about - I don't want to give anything away, and then I was ready for my scenes. I was on stage until about 6pm, and then I had to change and get over to the 'NBC All-Star Party'. It was a really fun party. Missy (Jennifer) and her incredibly hot husband, Scott were there, and so was Billy (Frankie). We all hung out - Amy Grant performed, so we were enjoying listening to some great music. I am so excited to see Amy Grant's new show - Three Wishes. It's such a wonderful concept, and I bet it'll be so wonderful to see all those people's lives changed.
What I really needed around 4pm yesterday afternoon? A little sugar! And wouldn't you know it, those Lumi fans saved the day. I was upstairs in the offices and Steve Wyman, our executive Producer, received this basket of delicious looking basket of cookies. Dollar signs and money, with a center cookie that said Lumi: The Money Couple. Steve took the cookies down to share with the crew. They are so cool. Even better? When I got to my dressing room, I had my own basket waiting for me. I definitely had to hold on to a few before sharing the rest with our make-up and hair department.
The only sad part about yesterday, is that I didn't get to see Ben! I hate that. He was asleep as I mentioned, when I left, and asleep when I got home last night. But we had so much fun last weekend. Dave and I took Ben to the beach. It was his first time in the ocean! We could tell that Ben loved the feel of the wet sand on his feet, but when the first wave caught his feet he didn't know what to think! It was so cute - he was so focused on watching the water come towards him and then away. Every time the wave would get close he would start madly kicking his legs and sounding so excited. We had so much fun, we were all soaked by the time we left.
I'd better get back to work - I'm in the make-up room right now, trying to choose the right flower to put in my hair.
