For those keeping track, the NBA off-season has been rife with excitement. Lots of great trades, and pick-ups... I am part of a Fantasy Basketball League run by Jim Reynolds (Abe) who is one of my favorite people. Jim is a fair commissioner (just ask KB - he knows how tough it is to be commissioner of a Fantasy league). Last year Bryan (Lucas) and I shared a team called Lumi's Revenge. We were riddled with injuries, and the league was won by Eric Winter (Rex) and his friend. It's a fun game that makes the NBA season even more exciting.
The message boards are buzzing with gossip and speculation lately... I have been lurking and posting lately. It's a crazy time right now! I am really into the new stories on the show right now - I love seeing Wayne on screen. It's such a trip down memory lane... my first scene on Days was with him. I still remember my line - Daddy, don't shoot!. Lol. Sami was trying to sneak into her parents house (which is now Abe's - don't ask me.) and Roman heard a suspicious noise and ended up catching Sami in the act. I guess that really set the ground work for the years to follow, huh? On set the other day Wayne was teasing Josh Taylor about how it's his fault how Sami turned out - lol! In a scene with Drake, Wayne and Josh I was calling all of them Dad in rehearsal!
They are calling me to dry-blocking right now. With almost the enire cast. Yikes!!! As you may know, when there are a lot of actors in one scene, it takes extra long. Usually it means a party scene, or a trial (those are difficult to shoot too). Well, anyway, I'd better not say what we're doing - especially on the official NBC site (hee hee) - but I do have to get on stage. Hold on...
Okay, I'm back. Well. I hope you all enjoyed the shows last week. We all had a great time shooting the episodes where Sami exposes Kate's scheme to break up her and Lucas. It was such fun to play out those scenes - usually it's Sami who's schemes are being exposed, and Kate gets to be all confident and righteous, but this time it was Sami's turn! Lauren and I really enjoy working together, and over the years we've had such fun playing out scenes where Kate and Sami strangle each other, yell at each other, scheme against each other and (one time) join forces to scheme together. They are such fun characters, and the dynamics between Kate and Sami are always exciting for us to play out. Anyway, those scenes were so fun - I believe Kyle posted on his site about how a bunch of us broke out singing Summer Lovin' from Grease... well those were the scenes!
Okay, well, I've finished getting my hair and make-up ready for the show. Oh, which reminds me, I'm going to try and answer some questions on the ask ali part of my message boards this week, so post your questions!
Xxoo,
Ali
