Wilmer Valderrama

Wilmer Valderrama stars as Detective Efrem Vega, Britten's ambitious and young partner - in one of his worlds - on NBC's groundbreaking new mystery drama "Awake."

Born in Venezuela, Valderrama is perhaps best known for his role as Fez on "That '70s Show." He has been in high demand above and beyond the small screen since the premiere of the series in 1998, and he has produced, directed, written, hosted and acted in numerous projects over the past decade and continues to have many in development.

Most recently, Valderrama appeared in the Universal Pictures' dramedy "Larry Crowne," alongside Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, and starred opposite America Ferrera, Jason Ritter and Melissa Leo in the drama "The Dry Land," which premiered in the dramatic competition at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Additional film credits include "From Prada to Nada," alongside Camilla Belle, Alexa Vega and Adriana Barraza, "Party Monster," "Fast Food Nation," "Columbus Day," "Unaccompanied Minors," "The Darwin Awards" and "Clifford's Really Big Movie."

Upcoming projects include "The Girl Is in Trouble" from executive producer Spike Lee.

From 2006-2007, Valderrama created, executive produced and hosted three seasons of the hit MTV show "Yo Momma." He also acts as executive producer on the children's science show "Bugging Out." In 2009, he made his directorial debut, directing the video short "Creepshow Raw: Insomnia," as well as "Imagination Movers."

Valderrama recently started a production company, WV Enterprises, and currently has a deal with Relativity Media to create, develop and executive produce series for broadcast and cable networks.
