Lenny Clarke stars as Chelsea's dad, Melvin, a penny-pinching salesman with a big heart and all too often, a big mouth, in the NBC comedy "Are You There, Chelsea?" inspired by Chelsea Handler's best-selling books.
A veteran actor and stand-up comic, Clarke launched his career in film and television with many appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "Comedy Central Presents."
He most recently starred in a recurring regular role on "Rescue Me." He was also a series lead on "It's All Relative" and a series regular on "The Job" and "The John Larroquette Show."
In his first television series "Lenny," from executive producer Don Reo, Clarke portrayed Lenny Callahan, a frustrated blue-collar worker.
Clarke's film credits include "Me, Myself & Irene," "The Game Plan," "Fever Pitch," "Stuck on You," "There's Something About Mary," "Getting Personal," "Monument Ave.," "Southie," "Meet Wally Sparks" and "Two If by Sea."
Having lost 200 pounds on their plan, Clarke is now a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
