Lauren Lapkus
Lauren Lapkus stars as Dee Dee, Chelsea's sweet, chaste and charmingly odd roommate in the NBC comedy "Are You There, Chelsea?" inspired by Chelsea Handler's best-selling books.
Originally from Evanston, Illinois, Lapkus graduated from DePaul University and performed all over Chicago, including at iO and Second City. After a whirlwind year in New York City, she moved to Los Angeles, where she can now be seen performing sketch and improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Her credits include the upcoming feature "The To Do List" with Aubrey Plaza and Bill Hader, "The Middle" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" where she appeared in a segment with Ryan Reynolds. She also performs onstage in "Story Pirates" at the Geffen Playhouse, an interactive sketch show inspired by stories that were written by kids.
