    Squonk Opera is a visionary ensemble of musicians and artists who create post-industrial performances using staging, design and original music. The group created their first show in 1995 in a Pittsburgh junkyard, combining cranes, roaring earthmovers and screaming machine shears in a choreography of mechanized movement. Recognized as an instant hit, they have been touring nationally and internationally ever since. Squonk Opera presents an art that includes both the cheap thrills of a monster truck show and the fragile, delicate beauty of high art.

    Tonight's the Night!

    Tonight is THE big night for Squonk Opera!  Thanks to everyone who has emailed, posted, tweeted, retweeted...all sending good wishes our way!  We're all feeling...well, how ARE we feeling???  Depends on who you ask.  I'd say the feelings range from overwhelmed and excited to terrified and giddy!  And that's just Steve!  Tune in tonight at 9 pm EST to see us Squonk America!!!
