    Squonk Opera

    Squonk Opera is a visionary ensemble of musicians and artists who create post-industrial performances using staging, design and original music. The group created their first show in 1995 in a Pittsburgh junkyard, combining cranes, roaring earthmovers and screaming machine shears in a choreography of mechanized movement. Recognized as an instant hit, they have been touring nationally and internationally ever since. Squonk Opera presents an art that includes both the cheap thrills of a monster truck show and the fragile, delicate beauty of high art.

    Even though we've toured across the U.S. and to Asia and Europe, we've never performed in L.A.  And what a way to debut - not only in front of the people of L.A. but for millions of Americans across the country.  And win or lose, it's been an exciting experience and we'll keep on Squonkin'!
