Lindsey gained an appreciation for music as a child when her parents would take her and her two sisters to all the free orchestra concerts in Santa Ana, California. When she was six years old, she begged to play the violin. After much sacrifice, her parents started her out with 15-minute lessons, which was all they could afford. For the last 17 years, Stirling has added color to every aspect of her life through her music. Although her training was classical, she joined a rock band in high school; played on the streets of New York City as a missionary; and learned to dance while playing. Now, as a student at Brigham Young University, Stirling plays for free in small local venues. Lindsey wishes to be a positive role model for teenage girls. Through her unique style of playing, she wants to prove that you don't have to conform to be accepted. The greatest value comes from loving yourself for who you are.
