Live Tonight 9/8. Find out who moves on to next week's final!
Doogie Horner is a stand-up comedian who lives in Philadelphia with his wife and dog. He studied graphic design at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and began doing comedy in 2006. He has performed in every room in Philadelphia, including hoagie shops, basements and corporate holiday parties. Since there are very few alternative venues for young comics in the city, Horner formed a monthly comedy show called in 2008 the Ministry of Secret Jokes. The Ministry quickly established a reputation for unique shows that employed unconventional entertainment such as rap battles, student body elections, and Dungeons and Dragons-style debates. Recently Horner's standup has gained notoriety; he performed at the Boston Comedy Festival, and was one of the top eight finalists at Philly's Funniest Competition. He was named the fourth funniest comedian in Philadelphia by comedy.com. When he's not busy alienating crowds, he works as a graphic designer, creating book covers for a small publishing company in Philadelphia. His eye-catching cover for "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" helped propel the book to New York Times bestseller status, and won Amazon's Cover of the Year Award for 2010.
