Let's put the million-dollar question out there first. You've achieved fame and success in your life. Why put yourself through the often-brutal Apprentice process?

Three reasons:
1) To promote my books: the bestselling "Eating In the Raw" and "The raw 50", especially as the "Raw 50" just came out.
2) The challenge.
3) My late brother's new charity was just formed this year by his colleagues and I wanted to tell the world about the wonderful, brilliant and loving person who was my brother and to show them the things that he cared about are things that are worth caring about. I just missed my brother so much that every time I spoke about him I burst Into tears and could not get the Information out.

So here It Is: my brother's charity is for underprivileged kids who need a boost! It Is called TAMFI.com (The Tony Alt Memorial Foundation, Inc) and It was created by my brother's colleagues who did not want to forget who my brother was and his generous and giving nature - now that is an Impact one could only hope to have on the world and the people around him!!

What do you admire most about Donald Trump?

He is tough and doesn't flinch! Also, his ability to turn his name into a multi-billion dollar business. Anyone can have a talent to build a building, but Trump took it to another level

Do you see a correlation between him and you In the sense that you are both famous AND business people?

I never really considered myself a businessperson. I am more creative and an artist and I like being that way. The hard facts of business are not my cup of tea, really.

"Success" can mean different things to different people; what does It mean to you?

I feel successful these days when I do a deal that works. As there are so many abusers out there, scammers, it is hard to tell the real from the wannabes and the abusers.

Why should you be Donald Trump's celebrity Apprentice?

Because I deserve It. You watch the show and tell me.

Since you are in the public spotlight, people already know a great deal about you. What's one thing that the public may not know?

Why would I tell you? If I wanted the public to know it, it would have already been written about.

If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which star and which movie would it be and why?

Bette Midler's part in "The Rose - highly dramatic and very emotional. Not an easy role to do and I would not and do not like to do roles that just anyone can do. I like roles to which I can bring something that no one else can bring. Yet, there are too many great movies to count, and I would want to be the star of any great movie.

Every day I see or am reminded of a movie that I would have loved to be the star of. I just cannot remember them all. I do like strong female roles, with women who take risks. I played Anna Karenina in an eight-hour movie about her and her life. It was just great to play a role like that. I loved many old time dramatic films and some newer comedies: anything with Katherine Hepburn in it, for example. I also liked Rachel Weisz in "the garden" for a very strong character and in "The Mummy" for a lighter yet still strong character.

Led Zeppelin, "Stairway to Heaven"

The Who, "Fire on the Mountain"

The Marshall Tucker Band, "No Quarter"

What are your three favorite books of all time?

I love almost anything by Anne Rice.
