Jonathan Tucker stars as Tommy Donnelly, the second son of the Donnelly clan, in NBC's new drama "The Black Donnellys." Raised on the mean streets of New York, Tommy has had his brushes with the law, but is now on a straight-and-narrow path to pursue a career as an artist. But strong family ties tend to get him into trouble, especially when he is defending his volatile brother Jimmy.
At 23, Tucker has starred in a myriad of feature films, including Barry Levinson's "Sleepers" as the young Billy Crudup, and in Sofia Coppola's adaptation of "The Virgin Suicides" as a voyeuristic neighbor and attempted savior alongside Kirsten Dunst.
The Boston native initially captivated critics as Tilda Swinton's sensitive teenaged son in the film "The Deep End." He has more recently worked alongside Bruce Willis in the thriller "Hostage," as the younger brother to John C. Reilly in the Steven Soderbergh/George Clooney-produced "Criminal," as well as in the 2003 remake of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" for New Line Cinema. Tucker was recently seen in the Weinstein Co.'s "Pulse," a remake of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Japanese horror classic, and will next be seen in "Cherry Crush."
Tucker's additional film credits include "Stateside" with Val Kilmer, "Ball in the House" with David Strathairn, "Two If By Sea" with Sandra Bullock, and the upcoming dark comedy, "Love Comes to the Executioner," in which he stars opposite Ginnifer Goodwin.
Tucker has had the opportunity to travel around the world, including spending a couple of years in Paris as a young boy, thanks to his father, renowned art historian-professor-curator Paul Hayes Tucker, and mother, marketing-publicity expert Maggie Moss-Tucker.
