Biography
Our grandma from Idaho, Linda, maybe sweet as apple pie, but don't let that fool you. She's got the fiery competitive drive of a 20 year old. "Just because I am over fifty, it doesn't mean I'm dead." Linda has been single for over 20 years, a hard-working single mom of two boys without a lot of time to herself. "I want to be a radiant healthy woman to enjoy life, enjoy my grandkids and meet that very special man that I can enjoy all life's wonderful treasures with. I want to find someone to grow young with." Linda is ready to fall in love. And she's starting in the most important place, with herself. Linda is a tough competitor who may fly under the radar, but her competition better watch out!
Goal weight: 127
Why the weight gain: I have been overweight my entire life. Gained more with pregnancies and then gain more again with stress of work
Biggest hope: To be more confident and boost my self-esteem. To fall in love, and to feel loved.
Motivation/reason for wanting to lose the weight: At first to be healthy to be around to enjoy my grandkids & to hopefully meet a good man. Now I want to be a radiant healthy woman to enjoy life, enjoy my grandkids and I have met that very special man that I can enjoy all life's wonderful treasures with.
Hardest thing about being overweight: isolation from doing things I really wanted to do, the feeling of not being accepted.
Dream physical activity: I have already done a couple of things I never thought would have happened. Swing dancing? I don't know yet.
Best physical feature: smile
Hardest part about losing the weight at home: No one to stop you from cheating if you wanted to, but really just every daylife and situations that interrupt your best laid plans
Most valuable thing you learned at the ranch: Believe in myself, I am worth it, I can do this. The people at The Biggest Loser really do care about how I do.
