You made it to the final four. A number of people would have ranked your team the odds-on favorite in this task. For all of the "Co-Project Manager" talk, Allie seemed to bull her way through the decisions and you kept relatively quiet with your misgivings. Any regrets?
I am a proud member of the final four! What a blessing. I don't have any regrets about my experience or performance on The Apprentice. I firmly believe that everything has its time and purpose; it was my time to be tested to my limits, learn some invaluable lessons, and grow. I can honestly say that I walk away with my head held high as a better businesswoman and person for all of it.
You and Allie were an unbreakable team through all the ups and downs of the boardrooms and tasks. Even going into this boardroom you seemed supportive of each other. When things heated up in the boardroom you both changed and fought for survival. What happened?
Allie and I are an unbreakable team. Mr. Trump, Don Jr., and Ivanka asked the tough questions which required the tough answers from both of us. There comes a time in the boardroom where you have to stick up for yourself and unfortunately, being positive about yourself in turn becomes a negative about your competition. Fortunately, Allie and I were able to walk into and out of the boardroom as friends.
What's the best thing and the worst thing about being on The Apprentice?
The best thing about being on The Apprentice was the day-in day-out challenge of living, working, and competing with the best and the brightest. The Apprentice is the ultimate pressure cooker and I was fortunate to have made it this far. My favorite moment was the Make-A-Wish reward. Being in the presence of Dasheaira whose daily challenges far surpass anything we experience on a task or in the boardroom, was both humbling and inspiring. Honestly, I can't think of anything bad about being on The Apprentice. I am the first African-American woman to be a member of the final four. The Apprentice was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I shall always cherish.
Now it's down to the final two and the pressure must be intense. What should we look for as the competition heats up on the way to the finale?
The finale promises to be bigger and better than ever! Lee and Sean will have to turn it all on to make it through this final task. Lee marvels me. Lee has fought back from certain death in the boardroom and has proven his ability to lead and utilize the strengths of his teammates. Lee's growth in the last 13 weeks has been the most impressive of us all, and I see that only continuing on the final task.
If you were giving advice to future candidates what would it be?
Be yourself! Have fun! Treat every day like it is your last. Remember that you only get one shot at being The Apprentice, so make every moment count. Do all this and you will walk away proud regardless if you are hired or fired.
What's next for you?
I have a lot of exciting projects on the horizon! I have been doing some inspirational writing, speaking to young students about life's limitless possibilities, and putting on charity events to support both the Make-a-Wish and Susan G.
