You proved to be a resourceful and focused candidate throughout the competition, yet this one task seemed to give you difficulty. If you could have done something differently, what would it have been?
Thank you for the compliments. I don't think this task was any more difficult than any other tasks. In my opinion we nailed the objectives for the Boys and Girls Club.
They already had a very nice facility, like a TV room, huge arcade room, and also a game room with ping pong tables and pool tables as well. But one thing they didn't have were musical instruments and a performance room - that is exactly what we created. Music is an international language, which could be used to reach to every kid's heart. Under the umbrella of the music theme, we included performance, singing (karaoke machine, two or three), dancing (boom boxes), a stage for acting, and, of cause, we did not forget those who like to learn how to play instruments.
There were keyboards, guitars, and drums along with the self-explanatory manuals for all the instruments. Nothing would be changed if I had to do it all over again; I would do exactly the same thing since this is exactly what makes kids happy, and at the end that was our goal, at least from my perspective. Perhaps I would change one thing though which would be to get rid of/fire Charmaine before the task; therefore we wouldn't have someone who would undermine the entire team. Unfortunately. I did not have the power to so.
Talk to us about your strategy in the competition to be the Apprentice. Follow-up: Do you think everyone tries their best to win the tasks or do some competitors try to sabotage the task to eliminate the project manager? There should be only one strategy on The Apprentice, which is to keep winning by actually working as a team, otherwise it is lose-lose atmosphere. How can you win if you have no team and you are rather competing with your own teammates by spending more effort on doing this instead of concentrating on the task and competing against the other team? Just imagine any team sport where everyone on the team was an independent entity and competing against each other, such team has no chance to succeed EVER.
What's the best thing and the worst thing you experienced on The Apprentice? Lots of good things happened on the show; one of them I met nice people like Lee, Summer (I wish she could have stayed longer) and a few others, and of cause Donald Trump himself. Lee was the most loyal guy I ever met in my life. He had no reason to stand up for me or for Summer in our first boardroom. He could have just lied like others did or just simply be quiet by saying nothing; instead, he chose to defend/stand up for me despite the risk of potentially being fired by being exposed in the boardroom. He is an exceptionally smart and educated kid with integrity, dignity and courage. I would be proud and satisfied if my son would possess all of his qualities and I am sure Lee's parents would agree with me on that. He is a great example for high school kids, college students and, of course, for all the Jewish community. As far as the Summer, she has the biggest heart of all, it has enough space for each and everyone. The worst thing was that we did not have enough time for all the booze that the suite contained (just kidding).
You've been on the inside. Who should we be looking out for in the week's ahead? See answer above. I also want to mention Roxanne. She has a great personality, very easy going, and also a very smart girl. I wish her lots of luck.
Mr. Trump truly seemed to like you throughout most of the competition. Any chance you may try to find another way to work for him in the future or are you moving on to other things?
If Mr. Trump truly liked me why, then, why did I get fired? (Lenny's Joke) No, honestly I think I made a positive impression on Donald Trump; therefore, I hope I will represent his new Trump premium vodka. In my opinion, I'm the best suited for the job, ha-ha. Seriously speaking, if any opportunity will ever arise I will be more then happy to consider working for Mr.Trump, but my preferences would be working WITH Donald Trump, especially since I got tons of great ideas, which could be easily implemented in Trump's organization and would generate significant profit. I would love to learn from the BEST and in this case Donald Trump is my favorite.
