"Is there such a thing as too much education?" Trump asked Rebecca. Rebecca had great respect for education, and Randal added that there was too much focus on his education and not enough on his accomplishments of running five companies. Trump asked Randal if he felt Rebecca was tough enough. Randal differed, saying that he didn't feel Rebecca was experienced enough.
Randal and Rebecca both made passionate cases for why Trump should them to be his next apprentice. "Do you think you're better than Randal?" Trump asked her. She replied by saying that she would be a better apprentice than Randal. Randal added that "Rebecca writes about business; I run a business."
Trump complimented both Randal and Rebecca for their accomplishments, focusing on Rebecca persevering over her broken ankle and the way she handled pressure. On the other hand, he was a bit "dubious" on her loyalty. Turning to Randal, he said, "you're an amazing leader... amazing." He looked back to Rebecca and said, "Rebecca... you're outstanding." But then he turned back to Randal with the magic words, "Randal...you're hired!"
