ACTOR FUN FACTS & BIO
Celebrity Guest: Ana Gasteyer
Birthday: May 4
Birthplace: Washington, D.C.
Best known for:
- "Saturday Night Live"
- "Mean Girls"
Fun fact: Ana was the first SNL cast member to be pregnant while appearing on the show,
and appeared as a customer in the infamous "Soup Nazi" episode of "Seinfeld."
After attending Northwestern University, Ana moved to Los Angeles to work with The Groundlings, which lead to her gig on Saturday Night Live. Ana joined the cast in 1996, and created many memorable characters, like middle school music teacher Bobbie Moughan-Culp. Actually, Ana has a great singing voice, which she put to use when she left SNL in 2002 to care for her daughter and return to the theater. Since then, self-professed theater geek, Ana has been burning up the New York stage as Elphaba in “Wicked,” and Mrs. Peachum in Wallace Shawn’s "Threepenny Opera."
