Bio:
Radiohead's esoteric style made them an unlikely band for SNL, but their appearance was something of a throwback to an earlier time in the show's history when they consistently booked bands that were on the fringe of the traditional pop scene.
Though first formed in 1986, it wasn't until 1991 that they began performing in and around Oxford in the UK. Success took them by surprise with the release of 1993's "Pablo Honey."
Lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood's classic music training is evident in the band's unique style, sound, and versatility. Their continued growth, experimentation, sometimes difficult music, and themes have made them a perennial favorite among alternative music fans.
