Although Julia Louis-Dreyfus had the luxury of being born to French mogul William Louis-Dreyfus, it's her comic talents and skill as an actress that have made her popular with television audiences.
Along with Gary Kroeger, Louis-Dreyfus got her start with the
L.A.-based The Practical Theater Co., an improvisatory troupe in the vein of Chicago's Second City. While on SNL, she worked alongside husband Brad Hall, making them the first, and only, husband and wife team to appear on the show. Louis-Dreyfus, however, is best known for the role of Elaine Benes on the TV sitcom "Seinfeld."
