While Jay Mohr may be best known as the producer and host of the TV reality show "Last Coming Standing," his wide-ranging career encompasses much more than this.
Mohr was born in 1970 and grew up in New Jersey. From an early age he wanted to be a comedian, and began playing local clubs when still a teenager. He joined the SNL cast in 1993, but left at the end of the season to focus on a movie acting career, which lead to roles in "Jerry Maguire," "Pluto Nash," "Speaking of Sex," and many others. He also starred as Peter Dragon in the acclaimed TV series "Action."
In 2004, his book "Gasping for Airtime" was published, chronicling his time as a writer and performer on SNL.
