Now that Pilar's horrible secret has been revealed, we talked with longtime Harmony resident, Eva Tamargo (Pilar), and her onscreen rival, Jill Remez (Juanita) to get the inside scoop. Here's what they have to say about Harmony's hottest new scandal!
Q & A with Eva Tamargo
Q. What was it like exploring Pilar's tortured past?
A. It was difficult, and exciting, and challenging, and upsetting,..I could go on and on. A lot of emotions came up for me. Maybe cause I've been grieving my father's passing. But it was quite cathartic!
Q. Do you think there is a way that Pilar and Juanita could resolve their differences peacefully?
A. I highly doubt it. There's too much bad blood between them, (no pun intended LOL). Sometimes in life things just can't be resolved peacefully especially if neither party is willing to stop playing the lame game!!!
Q. Your daughter, Gaby, plays Pilar as a young girl. Did you give her any acting advice?
A. Yes, don't act like me!!! LOL!!! No, actually, she was on her own for that one. She's very focused and determined about her choices.....Hum, I wonder where she gets that?? When I tried to give her some input, her exact words were, "that's okay mom, I got it!" Oh well, raise them to be independent and this is what you get! LOL
Q. How far will Pilar go to protect her family?
A. To the end of the earth evidently. Look how long she kept this horrible part of her past a secret??? There is never any other option for Pilar........ "FAMILIA" ALWAYS COME FIRST!!!!!
Q. How do you like working with Jill?
A. I LOVE JILL!!!!! HOPE SHE STAYS AROUND HARMONY FOR A LONG TIME!!!!!! EVEN IF IT "KILLS" ME!!!! LOL

Q. Were you a fan of Passions before you got the role?
A. Yes, the show maintains a good sense of humor and the men are hot.
Q. How did you prepare to play the evil Juanita?
A. I watched "The Wrath of Khan."
Q. Do you prefer to play evil characters or good characters?
A. I'm always happy whenever I get a chance to play an interestingcharacter, and Juanita is definitely interesting. Thechallenge is to make her complex and not just evil. Luckily, there is a lot of history there so I have lot on which to build. It is important that evil characters don't think of themselves as evil but as totally justified.
Q. What was your first day on set like?
A. My scene was by myself, so I was pretty much alone with my phone, stiletto, gun and white wig.
Q. How do you get along with Eva?
A. We get along great--very supportive. We talk aboutour kids. She tells me how much she likes my wig.
Q. Are there any similiarities between you and Juanita? (We're hoping you don't say "We're both crazed killers!")
A. I'll have to ask my husband. I hope not, but we'll have to see what happens the next time someone crosses me.
