I miss working with you guys, but I’m so glad you were still able to use my designs for the Fall collection. Here are some tips on how consumers can work the items into their wardrobe!

This season it’s all about layering – pile them on!! This little cotton velvet jacket is the perfect finishing touch to your fall outfit, whether you add it to a simple dress, tights and boots, or to a mini skirt with layered t-shirts or sweaters. The neat thing is that even if you have many layers on, the short bolero length of the jacket will show your waistline and keep you looking trim and fabulous! It comes in three colors, so it’s a must-have item! Get creative and have fun!

Another trend this fall and winter is the military-inspired jacket. Here it is in black velvet with silver buttons, and I like to wear mine with a lace blouse and blue jeans. However, you could just as easily wear it with grey tweed pants and a red turtleneck sweater. Personally, I think adding a hat or a cap completes the look.

The mesh bolero tie top is back again, as it’s hard to resist adding it to a holiday dress. I designed it to lightly cover the shoulders and arms yet show a little skin color through it. It’s just as cute with jeans and a t-shirt.

This red jersey tunic is really an easy fit and soooooo stylish for the holidays. You can bundle it up with a turtleneck, leggings and boots, or wear it on its own with fabulous jewelry, sparkly hose and gold or silver shoes. Don’t forget, the key issue here is the perfect belt, worn high. Suggestion: make the belt the focal point, whether it’s basic black, or a contrasting color, or something with embroidery or studded decoration.

This knit dress is another favorite of mine because of the tie at the back of the waist. If I’ve overindulged a bit at a holiday event, I can still look slim with the attached sash tied tight, giving me a slender silhouette. The sleeves are kimono style, very “in” right now, and the sequined trim down the front adds the ever popular bling. Wear with Crane Couture drop hoops or the large basic CZ hoops.

This gorgeous chiffon dress with silver beading and sequins is so perfect for holiday parties or the red carpet events I must go to as head of Crane Couture!
