Cathy Jeneén Doe portrays Simone Russell, the lively, vivacious and jealous little sister of Whitney. Recently Simone acknowledged that she is a lesbian—a revelation that was met with decidedly mixed reactions from her parents, athletic coach T.C. and Dr. Eve Russell.
Doe was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville with a B.S. in Journalism. Her acting credits include a guest role on NBC’s “Ed” and a recurring role in the Disney series “Go Fish.” Doe is producer and co-writer on an independent film currently in postproduction entitled “The Root of Evil.’
