What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I gain satisfaction from helping others. I enjoy the creativity of having to work on new concepts for example,launching the campaigns for ROC Foundation. It is all soo exciting.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Spiritually, without any thoughts, our heavenly father through Jesus Christ. As a person, his strength was unquestionable, therefore my living faith is most precious and fundamental to me, I am a believer that God oversees everything, he is the centre of our being. I am influenced by the teachings of the bible and my prayer is that I remain steadfast in my given path and to be more like the Lord Jesus. The word of God creates patience and humbleness, even when we are confronted with injustice or the imperfection of others, let us not react aggressively but remain humble. If the word of God penetrates our hearts, we will be patient and we will always bow before the Lord. To draw closer attention to my life, I am motivated and influenced by figureheads who leave a mark on society.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
I have developed soo strongly in life and my most recent accomplishment was being honoured with the GAB (Gathering of Africa's Best) Award through Charitable Causes, making me officially as the second recipient after Nelson Mandela in the Southern Region of Africa to obtain one. I had dedicated a lot of personal time to helping others with particular focus placed on children orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS both in Zambia and the UK. Being awarded was great and I believe this is not only for me but also for others, it encouraged and motivated me to start my own charity \"ROC Foundation\" aimed at raising awareness for HIV/AIDS and helping others. However to get to this point, I would like to recognise one earlier achievement, this was obtaining my Bachelors of Science Degree BSc (Hons) in Business Property Management. I treasure this highly, so during my 4 years degree sandwich course, I invested a lot of time, hard work and perseverance. I chose to embark on the my full time course as the world of Surveying struck me as a big challenge, one which offered areas of work I had never experienced before. In addition, I worked part time, therefore Monday to Friday I was in lectures and Saturday and Sunday in work. My time at the University was a combination of being happy, feeling content and sometimes being tearful and stressed. In the first year, I fell in the trap of comparing myself to others especially where I scored a slightly lower mark/grade than one of my friends. I became very hard on myself as I felt was not good enough and I started contemplating whether I had embarked on the right course, however after a while, I educated myself to always believe that we are all different and have our own strengths and weaknesses. I progressed forward with a positive attitude and got my degree.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
To be fully qualified as a chartered property surveyor. I also hope to be Zambia's biggest export on an international stage through beauty, fashion and my goodwill in charity.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
There are too many but to list a few, The Victoria Falls, which happens to be situated in my beautiful country in Zambia's tourist capital - Livingstone is one of my most interesting places. I actually got to go there through a charity campaign I was running as Miss Zambia (UK), being one of the natural wonders of the world, it spoke for itself. The falls are breathtaking and immeasurable, described by the Kololo tribe as 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' - 'the Smoke that Thunders'. Its almost like it had a life of its own, they say it is classfield as 'the greatest known curtain of falling water' but you need to fully experience the magic of the Victoria Falls, the immense power provided a spectacular sight. You actually hear the falls hiss and roar as if overcome, then rumbles and crashes like thunder, such moving water created a fascination that draws you closer yet you still feel calm and at peace. I would encourage everyone to ensure they visit Zambia and experience the beauty the Victoria falls present, for those who have already been, I would urge you to go back again, every visit is like a new experience.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Aside from my physical built, my personality, the most unique feature(s) about me are my thoughts and my overall character in terms of the way I govern my life and the principles I live by. I am a child of God and I thank God I have been blessed with the opportunity to contest at Miss Universe. God created every individual differently, no two people are the same, even identical twins have something unique between them.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
We are all placed on this earth with our very own defined path to follow. If you spend time following someone else's dream, i.e. trying to be better than or copying someone's actions to achieve what they have, you will miss out on your own path hence you will never be fulfilled in what you accomplish thereafter. If you take time out and concentrate on what is happening in your own life, you will learn to appreciate what you have around you and most fundamentally, who you are.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I have gained so much experience as a person and can only hope to continue learning everyday and making choices that last a lifetime. It is moments like these i.e. Miss Universe that are very important defining moments in our lives. I feel my country still needs that goodwill ambassador that defines talent and grace. Therefore my future is bright and I hope to be an accomplished all rounder. In my work, I love property and I hope to see myself as an educated chartered surveyor and continue the fight against HIV/AIDS through my charity - ROC Foundation. So I hope to continue serving the legacy of my country and being its official international representative for beauty around the world.

Patricia Velasquez, because even though she has succeeded as a model and model in Europe and the U.S. she has not forgotten roots and her indian mother tribe the \"Wayuu\", a very poor community that is helped through her foundation.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
At age 18, I decided to go to Paris to work as a model, I am proud to have succeeded by myself in a different culture, language and country without the help of my parents. That experience made me grow up and mature.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I plan to be a fashion designer and have my own atelier. I have already started to study design and my participation in this pageant is part of my plan to learn as much as I can about the business and the world of beauty. I am also studying acting in order to do my best in media.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
Paris, every street has a mistery, a specific fragrance, a history an image. The city is a Babel of Cultures.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
every single person is unique, but I consider that at my age I have already lived in france and the U.S. and traveled to Africa and the Araba world learning about many different cultures, that experience has made me grow and open myself to new goals.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope I will be managing my own fashion design house with my mother, modelling and participating in media projects keeping my options open.

I am a woman of challenges, I went from being a smalltown spoiled only child to a model living by myself in a strange country with no idea about the new language I had to speak, I consider myself a sponge, absorving all the good things from people and learning from them. I like to push myself and learn from any experience.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My interests include living my life to the fullest by emersing myself in those activities which give me the most pleasure. I am a huge sports enthusiast, and enjoy watching college football and basketball, especially when my alma mater, Virginia Tech, is playing. Most of the time, when I am in the mood for a little more hands on action, I participate in local volleyball and softball leagues. I have always been an avid reader and love curling up with a good book especially on those days or nights when the Caribbean weather is a little temperamental. I also enjoy modeling, drawing, and weightlifting. What I enjoy the most, however, is spending time with friends and family because I am lucky to be surrounded by some of the most comical characters who make me laugh, sometimes without even trying.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
I have had the pleasure of having so many positive influences in my life, including my parents. Other than my parents, my sisters Renee and Marsha, have been the most influential. They are very good examples about how to lead a fulfilling career and family life that is enriched with happiness, which is ultimately what I would want for myself.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
My proudest accomplishment to date has been my graduation from Virginia Tech in 2004. It was very difficult for me to move away from my family at the young age of 16 to pursue my collegiate studies, however despite the ups and downs that came my way, I managed to complete my studies with honors and make my family proud.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
Interning in the Browards Sheriffs Office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, cemented my aspirations to one day become a forensic scientist, so that I can contribute to my community by aiding the capture of criminals. Crime is a growing concern of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands, especially since the personnel equipped to solve many of the crimes do not exist here. I am determined to bring my knowledge and expertise back to these islands after I have completed my graduate studies in Criminology and Forensic Science in the very near future.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
Imagine pulling in by boat into a turquoise blue bay lined by a long stretch of white sandy beaches. This is a beautifully popular sight of many of the Caribbean islands. Now, imagine this same beach with colossal boulders strewn along the sand, stacked on top of each other creating caves that are illuminated by rays of light that force their way through openings above them. In the British Virgin Islands you can find such a place called the Baths. This natural wonder is located on the tiny island of Virgin Gorda and is frequented by thousands of visitors every year. I had always heard of the beauty of this place and, even though it was a short boat ride away from the U.S. Virgin Islands, had never visited. Finally, last year experienced it for myself. The boulders were created by a volcanic explosion thousands and thousands of years ago, and when the huge drops of lava fell into the ocean, they were cooled into hard rock and smoothed by the sea. This is definitely the most interesting and intriguing place I have ever been and would recommend this experience to anyone.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Being raised in the melting pot, the U.S. Virgin Islands, has afforded me the opportunity to be influenced by many cultures and diversity. I believe the ability to interact with all different types of people is an important and necessary trait of a potential Miss Universe. My degrees in Biology and Chemistry prepared me to pursue a career in public health. As the Pandemic Influenza Planning Executive for the Department of Health, I have been trained as a spokesperson to create awareness in the community about pandemic influenza, commonly known as the \"bird flu\", and offer advice about the protection and prevention of the public's health. Creating awareness about disease and pestilence all over the world is something I would love to continue doing as Miss Universe. My involvement in sports help me to positively influence, guide, and assist in the growth and development of the youth in my diversified community. Miss Universe would be the perfect platform to continue guiding the world leaders of tomorrow in a positive direction.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
My philosophy in life is simple: Never give up. It is inevitable that challenges, bumps and hurdles will present themselves along the journey of life. Some of those hurdles may take a little longer than others to jump over. Nothing is learned in a life free of strife. It is important to confront bumps in the road with a positive attitude and outlook. All you have to do is keep your eyes on the prize and soon you will be on to the next challenge!
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In 10 years, I hope to be the Director of a forensic laboratory in the US Virgin Islands, aiding the process of capturing criminals in these islands.
Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
When I was a sophomore in college, I was struck by a car while I was walking across the street. This accident could have taken my life, but instead I am alive and thankful. Instead of being livid and upset, I came to the realization that life is in fact short and in turn, I have such an appreciation for life and everything it has to offer. To this day, I continue to grab life by the horns and take advantage of every opportunity presented.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Volunteering. Reading non-fiction books. Traveling to countries I have never explored. Educating myself continuously about current events and different cultures. Singing. Spending time with my family. Playing with my chocolate lab Zoe.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
In January 2007, I met 151 girls that made a tremendous impact on my life. Although I was only with these brilliant young ladies for a month, the girls at The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy in South Africa touched me so greatly. They exhibited such passion and enthusiasm for being educated that it truly was inspiring. I wanted to bottle up their positive energy and distribute it to the youth in the U.S. They gave me the motivation I needed to somehow make a difference in education systems, and, hopefully, I can make some sort of a difference now with the title of Miss USA or Miss Universe.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
My parents and I are especially proud of the fact that I received a full tuition scholarship to Belmont University for community service and academics. In December of 2006, I am pleased to say that I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
What is your career ambition?
I have so many dreams and aspirations, but my career ambition is to be a reputable journalist at a national or international level so that I may educate the general public about the world they are living in. In December 2006, I received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Belmont University. With every interview I participate in as Miss USA, I try to look at it as another opportunity to put my journalistic skills to the test. I would also love to be the founder of my own philanthropic organization directed towards education, especially for those in impoverished areas within the USA and beyond my country's borders. To be proactive about this dream, I continuously volunteer with a multitude of organizations to lend a helping hand but also to gather ideas for my own organization.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
In January 2007, I had the opportunity to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams by traveling to the beautiful country of South Africa. For a month I was submerged in a small South African village filled with magnificent landscapes and passionate people and away from my hectic lifestyle in the U.S. I solely relied on technology to keep me entertained and in touch with the world. My trip to South Africa was more memorable than any other trip I have ever taken because the purpose of my trip was to volunteer at The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. My experience in the country and at the Academy was nothing short of amazing. The girls I encountered during this trip gave me hope for the future for so many underprivileged children and the encouragement I needed to bring back with me to the U.S. to make a difference. I traveled to South Africa with the mentality that I was going to change the world, when in all reality, I think I returned the one who had been changed.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
From being biracial, to living in a household of two prior, active duty, U.S. Army soldiers, holding a paying job throughout my life starting from the age of eight, receiving various honors throughout my high school and collegiate careers, such as a full tuition scholarship to college and an eight month internship at \"The Oprah Winfrey Show\", I would definitely say my life experiences as a 22-year-old woman set me apart from the gorgeous women competing at Miss Universe 2007. Because of all the experiences I have had throughout my life, I understand the importance of responsibility and work ethic more than most women my age. I have found that my life experiences have enabled me to bring a multitude of things to the title of Miss USA and believe they can be put to an even greater practice if I were to receive the title of Miss Universe.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
The quote “To whom much is given, much is expected” sums up my philosophy of life. I feel that when blessings are bestowed on you, you must continuously be grateful for those blessings and do everything in your power to take advantage of them to the fullest.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In five years I would like to say I am the eighth Miss USA to go on to win Miss Universe. In the years to come after my reign as Miss Universe I would continue to pursue my passion of informing individuals through a multi-media outlet, which would be putting my journalism undergraduate degree to use, in one of the three big cities: New York, Chicago or Los Angeles. I would also like to have my own philanthropic organization in its beginning stages. But most of all I want to be happy, content and healthy doing whatever it is that helps me achieve my bliss in life.

My interests are getting better in my career and have a nice way of living thanks to that.I enjoy a lot of things in life,but what i enjoy the most is travelling.Knowing new places,new poeople,new cultures.The world is wonderfull and there is a lot to learn from it, and travelling around it,is the best way to learn everything about its cultures and places.

Carlos Paez Vilaro,he is a writer and an artist from uruguay.He was the best friend of my gandfather and he knows me since i was born.He teached me to believe in my self.Every talk with him it ment a lot of learning for me.He told me ``it doesn't care if anybody else don't believe in you,i will always find someone in life who won't believe in yours talents,but if you believe in your self you could get anywhere you want``.That words means a lot to me,thats why i think he has the most influence on my life.

I'm very proud to be part of my family.They have a good heart and they are always figthing for having a better life,wich it's not easy for the economy in my country.In 1952 my grandfa made a cultural group that represents our culture.And they did travel a lot showing what it means our best party,the carnival,wich is the longest carnival in the world.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My ambition is to grow in my career of publcity model and tv host,and i would love to try acting too.And in a year or two go to university to finish my studies.I did an impass between college and university because i wanted to take every oportunities that my carrer could give to me while i'm young.for example this one of coming to Miss Universe representing my country wich is a dream come true.And of course i will always take every oportunity that could help my carrer.

The place most ineresting i have been is Toronto.It`s the city with more cutures and 'razas'living together.It`s wonderfull to walk on the streets and find people so diferent between their self and having the same interests.

What makes me diferent from the other contestants is being me,nobody is like me,nobody is like nobody.That's why i'm so authentic,i don't wanna be like anybody else,i wanna be like my self.And my authenticty shows that i'm unique and iferent from the others.

My philosophy in life is never to lose 'la humildad'.Even if you get everything you want in life, you don't have that every human been are alike,we are all the same.And if you could get everything in life you sholuld help poeple who couldn't.

My sister, I am very proud of her, she is a ballet dancer, shi is working very hard everday she is a wonderfull person as well. She is my best friend and support.

When I was 6 years old I saved my dogs and the whole house (9 story) from fire, by the way my gradma started it accidentally ;-) I am independent since 16.
What is your career ambition?
My goal is to be successful inlife, to be able to help my family, who had to struggle a lot to raise me the way I am and scrificed everything to give me a good education

I represent 2 nations at the same time, my father is tatar and mom is Ukranian. I'm maybe 1st tatar girl here.

In 10 years I hope to be something I will be proud of even in 50 years.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I have a keen interest in helping children because my family is large and as a young adult you can learn so many things from children especially patience which so many of us lack as adults. I enjoy being around children and of course dancing.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My Aunt Gloria Cox, my mentor - the backbone of our family. She has encouraged me to reach for the stars and to never loose faith in God. She is a caring, energetic and loving person - one who will never turn her back on her family. She is a beautiful person on the 'inside and the outside.'She's the best Aunt a young girl can have.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
One of my proudest accomplishments was my tour of some of our local Primary Schools in the islands. I was greeted with hugs and kisses from students who was anxious to hear about me as an individual. I also had the opportunity to speak with them and encourage them to excel in school and to be proud of themselves. I will never forget their smiling faces - faces of hope - faces of tomorrow's adults!
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
At first I was interested in Business but because of my love and special interest in children, I have decided to pursue a course in Medicine specialising in Pediatrics. I plan to return to College soon after my reign.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I've found London to be the most interesting place that I have visited so far. It's totally different from my part of the world that we call 'paradise.' It's breathtaking a picture perfect experience!
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
My personality - I am very courageous, confident and persistent - I never give up on the things that I believe in as well as my ability to reach out and help others.

To believe in yourself - never loose sight of your dreams and most of all make a difference in someone's life!

In ten years time, I hope to be practicing medicine, helping children and hopefully be married with a family of my own!

Our King, His Majesty King Bhumiphol, of my country. He is a wonderful person who dedicated his life and effort to develop our country to enhance peace and most of all the happiness of his people. He has been showing us that \"peaceful actions speak louder than words\".
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
Well, in fact I have several accomplishments in my life that I had been proud of. The best one I can recall today is that I was awarded being the best student of my university when I was 18.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
Even though it would be just a dream, I would love to be a concert pianist. I am practicing the piano several hours a day under instruction of one of the best pianists in Bangkok. My favorite composer or if I may address him as my musical God is “Tchaikovsky”. I love his beautiful melodies, his rich orchestration. I love his ballet music \"Swan Lake\", his Piano Concerto no. 1 in B flat minor and uncountable orchestral works that are so great, so sentimental. His music sincerely conveys love to people on earth.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
The most interesting place I have been to in my life was the Royal Thai Air force museum, located opposite side of the old Bangkok International Airport. In there, you can find uncountable antique airplanes ever been in service in the country during the last 90 years of aviation history of Thailand. They are well preserved and some are still flyable. Some particular one is the only one left in the world. I had learned in the museum that Thailand was capable to design and build their own airplanes since early 1920's. I am so proud of that.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I have a strong love for music and my country culture and heritage. I am also a lot taller than most of the guys of my age back home. I hope that my ideals and beliefs and the way I treat people make me with pride and dignity.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
I fully believe in Karma. I think what you give out to the world is what you get back in return. That belief alone inspires my everyday life. I try to always be conscious of others feelings and the way I treat people.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
Being a piano lover, I would like to have my own music studio teaching not only piano but some other instruments like clarinet, flute and string instruments. This will fill my home with what I love and my dream to bring happiness to the new generations.

It's quite difficult to praise my own self. But having to do so I would say I am a humble person and I am not a perfect lady. I am just a stereotype Thai woman being polite, generous, understanding and ready to forgive. I always look at the sunny side of things and try to be dependable to everybody. Life is not long enough for me to do all I wish to do and that is to give my best to the earth and mankind.

I enjoy modelling. Fashion is my passion. Music is also something I am interested in.

My friend Evelyne, she helped me so much when my mummy passed away by giving me courage and sympathy.

I was one of the top female students who completed the full Technician Technician certificate course at Arusha Technical College.

My ambition is to be an engineer as well as a top model also a fashion stylist.

I am different because I believe that I am beautiful as a God created me 100% natural and African women.

I want to be a top model in my society. like Tyra Banks to help and inspire people to be better.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I expect to be one of the outstanding engineers in Tanzania and have secured contracts for different advertisements as a top model.

Got encouragement of being a model where I decided shaving my head though I was a had as I have had an idea how I would look. But I shaved and looked beauty as naturally African women. Also got hard time as my family didn't like it at all.

My interests are sports, eating, going out with friends, spending time with my boyfriend and going out to enjoy myself in general. I also like to travel and Mexico is my dream come true.

My sister Partricia is the person who has influenced me the most in my life. Her support has always been unconditional. She is a very mature and genuine person, and she always find the positive part of everything and everyone.

I am very proud of myself and in a particular aspect of my life: I worked in a clothing sotre full time for two years to pay my law degree. At the end of this time I was appointed manager of the cashiers, and it was worth it because it made me ???? and value the hard work.

Before being elected Miss Span, my goal for this coming year was to study a master Degree in Legal ????? for companies and International Law. Although, the opportunity that my country has given me of representing Spain in an international level, sets a new objective in my career. Especially, becuase I am so proud of being part of an international constest where they seek not only a beautiful woman, but qualified to go to social and cultural acts.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
Italy is the city that has impressed me the most. I had the chance to visit Pisa, Florence, Rome and Venice. It was amazing the fact of realizing all the past these cities have behind.

I would highlight my personality, becuase this is what makes people unique. To define myself I would say that I am very outgoing person, I am very ????? with my intimacy. loving and very ?????? with everything that I do.

It is basic to get up every time you fall and never up. Take out the postive part of everything you do and enjoy the moment you spend with people you love.

My priority is to feel sastified and fulfilled wiht my work and my personal life. Daydreaming, if I win Miss Universe I would love to be working as much as possible and if not I would keep fighting in Spain to achieve my dreams.

I took part in the Miss Spain contest because it was something I had ????? since I was little. My mother took part in a similar contest when se was young and she won the second runner up title. When my sister and I were little, we used to play with the sash. That was something we did as kids, but when we got older we decidedto follow her steps. My sister did not win the local contest, but I lived that experience so close that I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to feel it and I knew that if I would not have tried it, I would have regreted it my whole life.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My interests include horseriding, waterskiing and playing the piano. I also enjoy designing and making my own clothes.

My brother-in-law / close friend Grant Henderson. he was the brother I never had, and always et such a good example of how to live my life. Furthermore he has the courage to put me in my place when I am out of line.

This is having completed my degree. I wrote my final exams, completed an intense application for an advertising school and took part in Miss South Africa all within a month.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My main priority is to start a business with my mom which focuses on developing women's inner and outer beauty. I would also like to get into presenting an acting, and have already appeared on a local soap opera. I have completed my degree in Media and Comm. and marketing. Hopefully that will prepare me for the business world.

Rome. There is so much history and culture left in the ruins of this city, and it is amazing how well it has been preserved.

As I have not met the other contestants yet, it is difficult to say, but I believe my strong personality, honest and integrity make me unique.

In the last few years I have found that I have grown in confidence within myself to a great extend. I don't go with the flow, I don't comprimise on what I believe in and I don't let people walk over me. I have a firm understanding of right and wrong and I stand my ground regardless of the pressure.

I am very interested in literature and I enjoy writing. I am currently writing a book and also poetry.

My grandmother. I have lived with her for all my life. Because she is an older person she has given me another perspective on life.

In my life, I have had a lot of personal accomplishments because I can't name one because I'm always reaching for new goals and new things and all the goals I have achieved are equally important.

To be a teacher of the Slovenian language for foreigners. I also want to be a an editor of a magazine. I'd like to be a translator of the Spanish language for Slovenians.

That's in Losinj, Croatia, when I went with my boyfriend on a camping trip for 2 weeks. The people and the smell of the Mediterranean Sea were excellent.

I always thought that living out of my country is much more interesting. But 5 months ago I came to see my parents and I was given a chance to organize a fashion show of a most famous designer in Slovakia. The papers wrote it was a best show in last 5 years. After that I was supposed to go back to Milan where I lived, but instead I went to casting for Miss Universe and they took me to a final. So, I had to move back to my home and I refound my old friends that I lost with modeling. Slovakia is the best.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Traveling, baking, passion for animals, drawing, practicing yoga.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My eldest brother Gerald. Since I was a little girl, he always looked out for me and took care of me. Every stage in my life, he would support all my decisions even when people around me did not. He flew back from Manila just to watch me in the Miss Singapore Universe Finals! He has guided me throughout my life.

It was the life changing experience frombeing an obese child to a beauty queen. I feel that I am the role model for many children out there with low self-esteem becaue of their appearance.

I want to be a host for nature documentaries as I have always been fascinated with animals in the wild. I also have plans as Miss Singapore to start an \"Adopt-a-Tree\" program for children in schools to nurture children at a young age to care for their environment.

Through my life the people who surrounded me were my models, like my family, friends, teachers and professors. From my primary school teacher I learned to be persisting and never to give up. Mrs. Vesna Jugovic showed me another world and possibilities that you have through modeling and show business. As a famous journalist and documentary director in our country I learned a lot about show business, history, culture and that education is the most important for each of us. I watched her work and tried to learn as much as possible.

My proudest personal accomplishments are my four golden medals I won on National Show Dance Competition in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Also I won bronze medal on European Show Dance Competition in 2005.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
The most important thing now is my education. I'm finishing high school and from September I'm going to University. During my high school I worked as a model and I'm planning to be in fashion business during my studies. After I finish my studies I want to be a PR manager for some big company/brand. My target is to become a successful and independent woman and I hope that my title Miss Serbia will help me in some way to fulfill my dreams.

The most interesting place I've been is Cairo. I visited the great pyramids of Giza, temples, tombs, Christian churches and Egyptian Antiquities Museum. It was the most mystic and exciting trip in my life.

Winning the Miss Russia title has been the most unique experience in my life. I was only \"discovered\" by a modeling agency (at a dance competition) six months before the Miss Russia final. And then I won!

They vary, from sports activities such as horse back riding, weight training, cooking and modeling for fashion shows. I also like to surf the internet to keep myself up to date on the latest trends.

My grandfather, Pedro Blasini. For me he is an image of strength and perseverance. Overcoming my illness and adversity, he taught me that there are no obstacles in life too difficult to overcome. He is an example of hard work, love of family and the help of others. Through my illness he was my source of strength and inspiration. He has been extremely supportive of my cancer.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
To have survived cancer while still striving as a woman and a professional. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2003. Despite surgery and subsequent treatments I was able to pursue my college education and fulfilled my obligations at work. I became economically independent from my family at a very young age. I believe these experiences helped me mature and face adversity with a hopeful outlook.

My career ambition is to become a successful business woman.

I have worked for the last four years in the banking industry to fulfill this goal.

Bogotá, Colombia: As a member of the Latin world I know that many people have the wrong image of Latin America and Bogotá is one of those places that can change minds. I found a place of very friendly, hardworking people and I was surprised by how Colombian’s cherish their culture, language, how they respect each other and off course, their history.

Because I am 6’, blond, and what some may consider “European looking” wherever I go, I have been said that I don’t look Puerto Rican. When I won the pageant a professional pedigree of my family history was done. Traces of French, Italian and even some Spanish royalty were found in my background. However, I was pleased to learn that my great-grandmother (Juana Morales) was a direct descendant of Taino indian chief, Agüeybaná, who launched a upraising against the Spanish conquistadors in 1511. It all shows that looks can be deceiving. After these findings were made public, few questioned my identity.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I like sports very much. I play tennis, basketball and I'm swimming almost every day. Beside sports, I really enjoy listening music, driving my car, theatre or cinema.

Being chosen as one of the 10 outstanding students of the Philippines last 2005.

I would like to become a successful lawyer someday, engaged in a trail- blazing practice focused on children's rights cases. I am currently enrolled as a sophomore in the University of the Philippines, College of Law and am part of the Paralegal Volunteers Organization.

The mystic mountain called mount Banahaw in Quezon Province, It has a lot of caves and hillside shrines. going to the Husgado cave was an experience! I left the place energized and feeling invincible.

Some unique that has happened with me was that with only eighteen years old, I have been converted into an ambassador of the music of my country, bringing its folklore to the 44th Great Festival of the international folklore realized in the city of Cosquin, Cordoba, Argentina, having received a recognizing letter from the organizers for my excellent participation, representing my country, Paraguay! Also, I was the first woman participating in such festival.

My interest include mpdeling, and finishing my studies to obtain a diploma in marketing, publicity and sales. I enjoy spending time with my family, and practicing sports to keep maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I hope to continue a career in modeling as long as possible, and once that comes to an end, apply all that I have learned through the years, to create my own publicity agency.

I had the opportunity to visit China when I participated in the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, and it was the most amazing place I have ever visited.

My perseverent and goal oriented spirit, that has caractarized me since I was a young girl.

My philosophy of life is to work hard and persevere to achive my goals, always doing good, and trying to achive happiness.

In 10 years I hope to be fullfilled in all aspects of my life. Having my own publicity agency, and caring for my husband and children.

As a young girl I grew up in a very poor community, and now I as a model I have had the opportunity to travel the world and meet people and cultures, that as a little girl I couldnt even dream about.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My interests include dancing, climbing, skating, reading, writing and sharing good times with friends and family. Traveling is what I enjoy doing the most. I love being exposed to new cultures and meeting new people.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My grandmother had the most influence on my life and she meant the world to me. She instilled in me positive and sound cultural and moral values that I use today. She was my important role model – she was a brilliant example of a strong, generous, understanding, loving and caring woman who made endless sacrifices to ensure that her children had a better life. When I become a mother someday, I would try my very best to be like her. When she was still alive, she kept telling me that I can become anyone I want to be in life, that if I can dream it, I can do it! She supported me in my dreams and helped me stay motivated with her realistic and positive outlook on life. She taught me that for as long as I'm determined and willing to work hard, for as long as I can demonstrate generosity and love with every opportunity I'm given, I won't only be able to live my dreams, but I'd also make a difference in the lives of others. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for my grandmother. Thanks to her, I'm living some of my dreams right now.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
My proudest accomplishment would have to be when I won two beauty titles in two different countries within a span of one year. I won the title of Mutya ng Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) in June 2006 and Miss Norway-Universe in April 2007. What makes me proud of that accomplishment has nothing to do with beauty at all. Growing up as an adolescent in a bicultural family was not at all that easy. I had my share of struggle between cultural belongingness and individuation. There were times when I felt I didn't know who I was and which culture was right for me. I was born in Norway with a Norwegian father and a Filipino mother, but I was raised in Norway by Filipino parents when my parents got divorced and my mother got remarried to a Filipino. Winning a beauty title in the two countries that are part of my heritage is enough validation that I'm fully accepted by both cultures, that I do not have to worry anymore which culture was right for me because not one culture supersedes the other. So now I can say that I truly have the best of both worlds. I'm half Norwegian and half Filipino and I'm proud of my mix.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
At present, I am a model and a TV-host on interactive tv, but ultimately I would like to work my way into the television networks and have my own talk show. I intend to take a university degree in Media and Communication next spring. I also have a passion for helping teenagers move beyond obstacles. So I haven't discarded my dream of working as a clinical child and adolescent psychologist one day. I plan to take a degree in Psychology, too, at a later date.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I have traveled abroad a lot and have visited many countries in Europe and several states in the United States, but still the country I keep going back to is my mother's homeland, the Philippines. And the most interesting place I have ever been in the Philippines is the palm-studded island of Boracay in the Philippines. The place is awesome with its crystal blue waters, powder white sand and the undeniably easy atmosphere in the island. But it is made more endearing by its people. They are not just genuinely friendly, but more importantly, they're honest and helpful. I have travelled there three times during the last two years. During those times, I have not only learned about the history and traditions of the island from the natives themselves, but I have met and befriended some wonderful people whom I am still in close contact with. The last time I was there was last March, and I was fortunate enough to get to know and spend some time with 11 beautiful children. They've become like my younger brothers and sisters and I miss them very much.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I believe that each contestant brings something unique and beautiful to this pageant. I guess what makes me unique is that I have Norwegian blood running into my veins and I have a traditional Norwegian surname, yet I do not have the traditional Norwegian looks. But not all Norwegians have blond hair and blue eyes, and I happen to be one of them. As someone of mixed heritage, I'm proud to represent the diversity of my country, the modern multicultural Norway. And that is something beautiful I bring to this pageant. Coming from a diverse background, I have the ability to empathise and see something beautiful in everyone I meet. I find that I can easily relate to other races as well as their cultures, and it is an invaluable asset to have especially in a pageant participated in by many beautiful women from around the world. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and developing new friendships. I value friendship so much that I will always stand up for a friend and I'm always willing to help someone in need. I'm very passionate and I guess that's the most important factor that may set me apart from the other contestants. I'm very passionate about people. Whenever the opportunity arises, I try to make a difference in someone's life. I'm very passionate about my dreams and goals and never let anything get in the way of what I want to accomplish. In everything I do, I strongly believe that hard work and dedication truly do pay off. I sincerely believe that my work is a reflection of myself, and that is why I always give 110% of myself in everything that I do.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
I try to live my life according to three philosophies: “If you can dream it, you can do it.” “Tell me what I cannot do and I will show you that I can.” “You lost when you never tried.” I sincerely believe that there are many opportunities out there just waiting for us to experience them, and that great things are possible if only we have the courage to pursue them. So I'm all for experiencing as much as possible, taking smart risks and in believing in myself. It doesn't matter if I fail. I'll just have to start a new dream and rise to a new challenge, because life will always go on.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In 10 years, I see myself as a well-respected host of a popular talk show and a successful producer of a children/youth-oriented show. In 10 years, I also anticipate to become a dedicated specialist in clinical or counselling psychology, working with troubled children and adolescents, and challenging myself everyday. I hope to be successful in my personal life as well. Like my grandmother, I hope to be a source of inspiration for the people around me. I see myself happily married to a terrific man, living in a home filled with love, happiness and good health with our two beautiful children, and sharing many memorable experiences together. I know that life is full of surprises and that there will be difficulties along the way, but a happy life consists not in the absence, but in the mastery of hardships. I believe in myself more than anyone else ever will, and that will get me farther than looks, brains or money.

I am a level-headed and down-to-earth person that believes in living today. I love the beauty of life and I love the people in it. I see everyday as a new opportunity to learn something new and I'm ready to take on whatever comes my way. I happen to make friends easily and people find themselves at ease with me. It takes courage to be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to change you. So I always try to be myself and to be the very best person I possibly can and to help others in times of need. My winning Miss Philippines and Miss Norway is very important because it has not only opened many doors of opportunity for me, but it has made me proud of my double heritage. My family and friends mean the world to me, and their unwavering love, support and encouragement have made me a stronger person. But my environment plays an equally vital role in putting me where I am now – living my dreams. I feel incredibly lucky to be born and raised in one of the richest countries in the world that is committed in equal opportunities. Norway's cultural diversity has blossomed in recent years, and public policies are aimed at integrating various ethnic groups and promoting tolerance. And my representing Norway in the Miss Universe pageant, not to mention the support I have received thus far from my fellow Norwegians is all the validation I could have ever hoped to experience. Joining a beauty pageant is a great opportunity for young women to build their confidence and self-esteem. Hopefully, my winning Miss Norway will inspire young women with diverse backgrounds to embrace their \"exoticism\" and to want to achieve more than they ever have – to grow into a beautiful, exotic young woman with international, cosmopolitan appeal, and help make the world a better place to live in!
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My intersets are writing peoms(eulogy), dancing, singing, swimming, modelling, baking cakes, making new friends and travelling. I enjoy dancing most.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Sir henry domo-spiff, he took me as his child when I lost my dad in year 2002 and decided to train me in the university, making me accomplish my goal which is becoming a chemical engineer.

My proudest personal accomplishment is taking good care of my dad and grandmum (at their old age)before they died.

My career ambition is to be a chemical engineer and I am studing chemical /petrochemical engineering to accomplish that goal.

I am a student of rivers state university of science and technology, nigeria,studying chemical/petrochemical engineering. I will want to be a chemical engineer in future. I bellieve in respect, truth, love and care. the unique thing that has happened to me is being given the opportunity to represent my country in miss universe.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most? Why?
Some of my Interests include dancing the traditional Nicaraguan Ballet, Latin influenced rythims, and the Flamenco. I also enjoy Architecture and contemporary art. I love to spend time with my family and friends, Cooking, pottery, and I often volunteer and help at the fire department of Nicaragua and help increase awareness towards breast cancer.

I have had the opportunity to meet wonderful people in my life. But I consider my professors and jesuitas priests to be the greatest influences. They have installed within me, the importance of human life and have opened for me a set of doors towards a world in which I have learned to develop the necessary skills to succeed in life. They have taught me how to seek leadership and work hard. But one of the most important things that they have taught me to believe in God and to understand that without his help and existence, we can not conquer our purpose in life.

Im proud of the values that my parents have always installed in my life,I have made some great decisions based on these and therefore I am proud of the person that I have become. I have a good sense of who I am and where I am going in life and I think that is great accomplishment at my age!

I want to be a successful Architect and work hard towards developing a better place for my country. I would do this by creating an authentic Architecture and always taking the consideration of the main environment in which we live in. Im Working hard in my studies, My dad is an engeneer and we always work together in some projects, this is a great oportunity for me cause this gave me more experience in my carreer
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I went to India and participated in a Tae Kwon Do competition. I had the wonderful opportunity to be in some of the most important cities. I was struck abouth their culture and level of diversity. It made me realize how different we are in Nicaragua and how different our two cultures are but I realized that we all still being the same people in our diversity.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
My security and determination to reach my goals, the love that I have to do things, my ability to adapt to change and my transparency... I am very honest.

I believe that life is the best gift God could have given us. This is why we should prosper and take risks while enjoying every single moment of it. We should not compare ourselves to others but we should know what is the best that we can do.

I will definitely seek a masters in my career, work for my country, and I envision myself as a women with lots of success.

I would like to publish some of the poems and essays that I have written since childhood.

My interests are music, I have been singing/songwriting for several years and play the guitar and piano. I enjoy swimming, shopping, modelling but I love performing infront of large crowds the most.

oprah winfrey, she is such an amazing and respected women of today. She has proven to all women across the world that is does not matter who you are or where you come from that you can achieve anything that you put your mind to. She has help so many people and also raise awareness for so many issue in today's society that we need to know about. She started angel network which inspire's people to help the underpriviledged and give's so much to underserved communities around the world. Also she is a very successful buisness women with her talk show, production company, book club, magazine with many others successes to her name. She is truley amazing and I would love to be able to make such a difference in the world as she has.

being signed by successful producers to a development deal in los angeles where I gained so much experience in the music and entertainment industry.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
To be a successful international singer/songwriter and from there branch into other areas in the industry such as modelling and acting. To accomplish my goal I am completing my bio and recording recently written material, Increasing exposure to new and existing contacts, seek signing with a major record label and I trust with my success in miss universe it will have an imense impact on my goals.

Im and identical twins, I am three minutes older than my sister.Recently my twin sister and I have got into the property market in Christchurch, we have just purchased our second investment property. My sister and I work with a 20 year old girl who suffers from brain damage due to a car accident making here completly reliable on others when it comes to getting dressed, showers, eating and just everyday activities. We are part of her 24/7 care team trying to rehabiltate her.so with the success of my win for the new zealand pageant my sister and I want to try and be apart of the add campaigns on speeding/ drink driving to educate and create more awareness to the public of what could be the result of reckless driving.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Modeling, riding horses, tennis, swimming and driving \"Chun\" boats, which are a special type of boat in my country.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
I never had idols. Through my life the people who surrounded me were my models, like my family, friends, teachers, professors... I watched them work, focused on their moral qualities, and tried to learn as much as possible. Never the less, I'll emphasize my older sister because she is my greatest support and very positive person.

Winning the silver medal in Karate and the moment when I received a scholarship for University. In that way I accomplished one of my dreams.

I have more than one ambition in life, but the one that is the most important right now is studying Culture and Media at University. I want to become a PR manager and be the best in my job.

I was on a trip in China and I came back home on my 19 birthday. Nobody called me during whole day and I was very sad because I thought that everybody forgot about me. But in the evening my friends made a special party for me and that moment I will always remember. When I saw them with big cake and fireworks in my back yard I was so happy I even cried.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
In this moment I am interested in proving that Mexican women work for what they want and can be successful Internationally. In the future I would like to study a bachelor's degree in Tourism. What I enjoy doing the most is spending time with my family and modeling.

During my life I have been through very difficult times like when my brothers died or when I had cancer. But also through periods of inner growth where I discovered that those experiences taught me the value of love, faith, family, friendship, hard work and determination to be happy. To summarize, I learned to take good out of the bad, to live the 'NOW', the 'TODAY' and the 'HERE', to cherish what good life gives me, that I am the architect of my own destiny, to be happy my choice and to thank and love God through my acts.

My career ambition is to be an architect dealing with interior decoration. I am studying business management for the moment and am planning to go abroad for further studies in interior architecture.

When I saw an advert in the newspapers concerning one of the main roles a special cinemaatographic film of Mauritius, I immediately seized the opprotunity and presented myself for the casting. For the first time of my life, I was in front of a camera and a jury. I had to read a part of the script. Waiting for the answer was very stressing and I received a call form the producers telling me that I got the role, it was even more streesing for I didn't know what was going to happen next! The I started working with the Maruitian author and producer on the script. Afterwards, I started acting in from of the camera. What a surprise and satisfaction when I saw the film for the first time.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Traveling, surfing the web, listening to music of all genres, reading, going to the gym, and going to movies. I enjoy listening to music and surfing the web the most because it helps me to lay back, relax and rejuvenate my inner soul and senses.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Tun Dr Mahathir Bin Mohammad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia. He has great leadership qualities and I consider him the anchor of Malaysia. He has influenced me to give my best in everything that I do and to strive my best in life.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
Offered to get into university, able to do the course (degree) of my dreams. Proud of my achievements as I am able to make my parents proud of me. Parents are my pillar of strength.
What is your career ambition?
A successful entrepreneur cum financial engineer.
What are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
Currently doing a degree in financial engineering and have just started a company with a partner doing insurance and CCTV.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
The Pulau Perhentian, Trengganu, Malaysia. A combination (the best) of sun, sea and sand in my own country - Malaysia.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
The fact that I'm an Asian and I love talking about beautiful things, people and places. Also the fact that I'm bubbly and very down-to-earth.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
We can close our eyes to things we do not want to see, close our ears to things we do not want to hear but we cannot close our hears to things we do not want to feel. So, live, treasure and appreciate every moment of life.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope to be a successful entrepreneur, managing companies of my own, having a family of my own and still looking great, plus, having a great passion about life.

The fact that I'm real, non-pretentious, love sharing with people.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I have a very high interest in extreme sports, politics and anything humanitarian. I am a paramedic in the Lebanese Red Cross and any time there is a crisis, I am there. When we had the war in Lebanon, for example, I helped the refugees. I was also part of the scouts - we did everything from extreme sports to helping poor people, disabled people, nuns, homebound people, etc.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
I take different traits from different from people. For example, I admire the resilience of the people from the South during the war Hezbollah/Israeli war. I admire Oprah Winfrey's continuous drive to help people; she knows she has a mission and she tries to fulfill it, which is what I am trying to do. I admire a lot of people. I admire every person with resilience, strength and who knows how to get to their target.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
Being a paramedic.
What is your career ambition?
My career ambition is very specific. My major is international business. In 10 years, I see myself with my own company and running the company as a successful person, offering the market something new and making a change in the marketplace.
What are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
The first step is getting the basics, getting the university degree. I've also done the research, looking up biographies - I've looked up the biographies of Donald Trump, Bill Gates, and Lebanese businessmen to see how I can use their successes to help me
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
Baalbek in Lebanon. It's a historical site. It depicts part of the Lebanese history. It's a beautiful architectural wonder with ancient Roman stories carved on stone.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I don't know the other contestants yet to judge. For a 19-year-old girl I've been through so many experiences that a lot of people in their 50's haven't experienced from being a paramedic to being through a war. I've been through drama, excitement, through, everything. I know how to handle myself in every kind of experience.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
Always have resilience.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
Managing my own company, being respected in my own society and knowing that people look up to me. Knowing that people respect as a person.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I love to learn foreign languages including English, ancient Hebrew, Chinese, and Japanese. Moreover, I enjoy dancing and traveling. I also play various musical instruments as well, including Kayageum, which is a Korean traditional instrument.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Definitely, Jane Goodall. After reading her books, I became fascinated by this chimpanzee expert, environmentalist, and an advocate for world peace. I am very influenced by her passion to make our world a better place for all living things.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
I was recently awarded the title of \"Kayageum prodigy\" by the most prestigious musical foundation in Korea, Kumho Art Center. I have released four CD albums and have performed all over the world (in 25 countries), including Carnegie Hall in New York City.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I have two goals. One is to become a cultural ambassador for Korea as a Kayageum-ist and professor of traditional Korean music. The other goal is to become a volunteering missionary in developing or undeveloped countries including North Korea.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
The most interesting place I have been is Mongolia. The Mongolian landscape is just breath-taking. Also, I was very moved by the hospitality of Mongolian people. I enjoyed riding horses and taking pictures of Mongolia's beautiful scenery.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Many contestants would have started their career after they won their nationsˇŻ beauty pageant. However, even before the Miss Korea beauty pageant, I was known to Korean people as a Kayageum-ist and developed a good network of friends throughout the world.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
My take on life is that \"every individual is important, has a role, and can influence.\" I believe that I, too, have an ability to change the world. If I were to win the Miss Universe contest, I know that I will then have an opportunity to contribute to the betterment of our world.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I will be a professor, mother, wife; but most of all, I want to be a worthy successor as a Kayageum player to my mother. I will be making a personal contribution in introducing Korean culture all over the world.

I want to become a Miss Universe and a renowned professor, but I also want to contribute my time and efforts to build a better world for everyone by doing volunteer work and creating organizations that aid people in need.

I have a friend now whom I respect and appreciate. He influenced a lot on my life and many things in my life changed. He appertains to me with a great understanding, always listens to me and respects my opinion.

My proudest personal accomplishment is the ending of High Republic Special Physics-Mathematics School on Excellent. Paricipation in lots of mathematics and physics Olympiads and got the highest marks.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My first goal is to finish university and get the diploma of magister. After that I want to get to work in my specialty in science to do different research and create new inventions for my country.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I think that one of the most beautiful places are our mountains (Zailian Alatou). There are very beautiful naturea, clean air and high green Christmas trees.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Definitely dancing! I have been dancing since I was 4 years old. I still have my first pair of ballet shoes which I keep as a memory of my many years and passion for dancing. I am a very curious person and I love traveling the world, especially seeing musicals and visiting museums. Discovering different cultures and encountering new people are a constant source of inspiration for me and something I try to apply to my own dancing and teaching back in Japan.

My amazing national director, Inés Ligron because she has taught me so much and heightened my interest in so many issues I wasn't aware of before. I come from a small town and Inés has transformed my confidence and showed me how to achieve my dreams faster.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
Studying abroad and successfully graduating from both high school and ballet school in Canada. My three years abroad taught me how to adapt myself to different environments, the importance of learning foreign languages, and the great need in our world today for intercultural understanding.
What is your career ambition?
To open my own dance school in Tokyo! My mother runs a successful dance school outside of Tokyo and we plan to expand my family's love for the performing arts by opening an international dance school in Tokyo, the capital of Japan and a crossroads for many cultures. My plan is to hire teachers who speak a number of languages so that I can host students from around the world. Opening my own school will allow me to live and teach my passion for dancing while being an independent business woman.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
The south of France. I went to Montpellier for 10 days of intensive training with my fabulous director, Inés Ligron. Instead of going to tourist areas, we visited remote villages which gave me a glimpse of how French people truly live. I was surrounded by nature and beautiful old buildings. It felt so refreshing to jog through wine vineyards and gorgeous castles. It reminded me of Drew Barrymore's 1998 movie Ever After, a Cinderella story.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
We live in a competitive world that demands high-skills, determination, intelligence, and a global outlook. When I was 16 years old, I decided to leave my comfort zone and challenge myself in a completely different environment abroad where I would have to survive socially, academically and culturally on my own. I think globally but I also know where I come from. I liken myself to a modern-day samurai for women. The traditional samurai spirit in Japan prizes composure, patience, a sense of justice, and fearlessly facing challenges with a strong-will. At the same time, the word samurai literally means \"to serve,\" a reflection of my heritage and commitment to self and to others. I think my diverse life-experiences and cultural heritage will be an invaluable tool in a competition as challenging as Miss Universe.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In 10 years I will be celebrating my 30th birthday in my own dance school surrounded by lots of my students, and blowing out my candles together with my little daughter in a tutu!

After high school, I moved to New York where I got accepted to a dance school on Broadway. Around the same time, I passed the audition for the Miss Universe Japan title. I had to make a quick question between dance school or possibly being Miss Universe and moved back to Japan to pursue the latter. I am a very determined person and can take actions very quickly when I trust that they are the right ones. I am also extremely patient and focused.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I enjoy riding bikes, vibrant music, fast cars, hanging out with friends and most of all, community service at homes for the disabled. I also enjoy watching NASCAR and motor racing.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My best friend, Christina Francis, has had the most influence on my life. For the eight years of our friendship, Christina, just by her personality, showed me that life means nothing if we don't enjoy the events and opportunities it presents us; when we became high school friends in 1999, I learned for the first time to have \"fun without apology!\" Thank you Christina.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
My proudest personal accomplishment is to have attained independence and self-reliance at age 20. Though there for me in emergencies, my parents have always encouraged maturity in thought and financial independence as a young adult.
What is your career ambition?
Since graduating with my honors Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and Zoology, I've decided to embark upon a career in the field of psychology and social work.
What are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I plan to take the 18-month Graduate Diploma Programme in Psychology at our local University (University of the West Indies) after which I will write for admission to a master/doctoral program in Clinical Psychology to be done in Jamaica or overseas.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
In the sky- while parasailing. My first time parasailing I thought that would find it scary to be so high up in the air, with all that wind, so far above rough seas. However, it was very calm and peaceful while allowing me to observe the beautiful north coast of Jamaica. Since then, parasailing has been a favourite activity of mine...like horseback riding.

My most obvious difference is my hair. Growing up as a Rastafarian, I have never cut my hair.

My philosophy in life is \"Dare to Dream!\" I think in life everything begins with a dream. When we have a dream, we have a sense of purpose and with the right plans in place, a sense of direction. With a sense of direction and hard work, we can then accomplish anything we want...no matter what.

In ten years, I hope to have struck a suitable balance between family and career. I hope to be married with children, and I hope to be an agent of change in people's lives, through the practice of Clinical Psychology. Last December I received a painting of a poor peasant lady looking at her reflection in a pond. Her reflection, however, was a crowned, bejeweled version of her and she appeared proud, happy and successful. This painting means so much to me because it reminds me of my philosophy in life- \"Dare to Dream.\" So in January this year, while at a bust stop with friends, a streetperson smiled in passing and said in patois that I would win Miss Jamaica Universe. This was astonishing, as my plans of entering the pageant were still yet a secret not even my closest friends knew; and here it was, a stranger walked by and not only knew my deepest secret but also predicted my victory! On March 25, 2007 I became the first Rastafarian to enter and win a beauty pageant in Jamaica...Miss Jamaica Universe 2007.

Ever since I was a child I've experinced travelling all over the world with my family and its still my greatest passion in life. In my everyday life I enjoy spending my time with friends and family and I also love doing sports such as kickbox and tennis. There are several domestic activities which provide me the balance and serenity in my life such as baking cookies, reading books, watching films and drawing.

The person who has influenced the most is my grandmother. She's an incredibly strong and vivid woman who has overcome so many difficult crissises in life, from surviving Auschwitz concentration camp and losing most of her relatives, to losing her eldest son in \"jom kippur\" war (1973). She's even survived a car accident in the past and after all she hasn't lost her livelyhood and is still the funniest woman I know.

My proudest accomplishment is serving for 2 years in the Israeli defence force as a tourguide in the Israeli Air Force and History Museum, and being chousen as a senior guide that recieves a rare opportunity to guide very important and honorable persons such as senior diplomats, embassadors, foreign reporters and even one of the profounders of NASA.

My career ambition is to be a very successful industrial designer. To accomplish that goal I plan to study industrial design and business managment in next year.

I have moved away from my childhood home at the age of 15 and I have made it on my own financially ever since. Last few years have thought me alot.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I want to be as good as possible in my career. I started to study orthotist and prosthetist last year in polytechnic of Helsinki. To have success in this career I need to have high motivation to learn new things all the time, to think positive, to be social, warm and to share all my knowledge with others (kolleegs, competitiors etc..) I know I have these skills and that´s why my ambition is so high.

The most interesting place is the Western Wall, which is in Jerusalem, Israel.

I can bring the laugh, enjoy and postivity among other people. I am also really open-minded and genuine.

I am very profound and sensitive person and I feel powerfully many even little things. Maybe because of this I see a lot of dreams also. I have seem some dreams that has even come true.

I am interested in Art in a general sense, whatever comes out of human passion, effort and creativity and in particular in painting from the contemplative observer perspective and from the aspiring painter perspective as well and also I am very keen on interior design because it is the profession I am studying.

My sister is my role model and hero. She is a person with very big inner force and which never gives up and has taught me a lot and has been by my side in the most difficult periods. As my mother had to raise 3 children on her own, my older sister has always been my greatest influence.

Having been raised by my single mother, I have had to fight for myself in many fields, especially in the last years, in order to surpass the doubtful obscure future and fight to make myself useful and make proud the persons I love. Now I know I can do it and I am available not only to help myself but also to help others. At the age of 20, I hope my proudest personal accomplishments are still waiting fulfillment. From our dreams great things may happen if we work hard on them. Nevertheless, if every person understands its importance and the importance that little things may have in this world, this would be the great achievement. I believe the consistent work comes from the dream.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I believe the consistent work comes from the dream. I will work to be a good professional in interior design but I would like to become a genuinely good painter, even if that may not be realized and appreciated in current time, but my dream is to leave my print in history.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
The most interesting place I have been is Portugal because it is a very beautiful and welcoming country. The most unique place in the world that I know is definitely my home country with pure preserved nature, medieval old towns and deep untouched forests.

We are all unique and different from each other this is one of the magical aspects of life. I wish I could answer this question after I met the other contestants. About myself, I am trying to be beautiful from the inside and hopefully this will shine out naturally. As a person, I am a simple, natural, giving and hardworking girl which always devotes herself fully to everything she does.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
My life philosophy is to respect other people and their feelings, beliefs and conceptions. I will do my best to be successful woman in all areas in life – the best mother for my children, educate them for mutual respect, solidarity and social responsibility, the best wife for my husband and the best painter and interior designer possible.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
It would be nice to be returning home after my painting exhibition and find my happy healthy children playing with their father. I would also like to participate in some organization where one could see real work being done for those who need it. I think a lot of funds and people often get lost in organizations and structures and sometimes real objective isn´t achieved because of this. Also, there is a lot of synergetic work to be done between organizations that pursue the same goal. Charity is not to publicize you would or you did, it is to prove you can do, it is to do.

I enjoy spending time at home, with my family and friends. The truth is that i enjoy each moment that i live.

My aunt, tránsito elvira. Being a teacher, she inculcated me values, discipline and dedication to my studies. Being a sigle mother she spent her life teaching and educating many people.she is now a retired techer, but only from classrooms, never from my heart.

I enjoy most the arts such as drawing, singing, dancing, and acting. I have taken part in numerous choirs and several stage performances. I also enjoy learning about different cultures, places and people. Finally, I find modeling a very interesting occupation and meeting people in the field of fashion is very rewarding as each person has a different point of view and one can learn so much from them.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Although she has not directly influenced my life, Maria Montessouri never ceases to amaze and inspire me. To imagine that a single person was able to discover a way to teach children with special needs and under the circumstances she was under is simply amazing to me. Also the idea that she had the same number of hours in each day as we do but that she used her time so productively so as to accomplish what she started (which was no small means a small feat) is very influential to me because I believe strongly in this norm.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
I have yet to experience an unpleasant review of any stage performance that I took part in. I am serious about my work and am always very proud to find out that I have entertained people and that they are satisfied.
What is your career ambition?
Although I enjoy modeling tremendously, I hope to become a certified Montessori director. Education is extremely important to me and should be readily available to all. Thus, I hope to establish a program in which I can 1.) improve the level of public education and 2.) introduce the Montessori method to those who don't yet know about it.

It's difficult to decide, but to pick one and speaking from a touristic viewpoint, Farafra, Egypt (The White Desert), is indeed very interesting and very beautiful.

Nobody is the same. My upbringing, my heritage, my experiences, and choices and education set me apart from the other contestants.

Because of my dual nationalities, I feel very lucky in many ways. The most important reason I find is that both allow me to see certain issues (be it social political, environmental, economic, etc.) from both a Western view and an Eastern view). I find that this lets me explain both points of view to those who do not understand one side or the other and so spreads understanding and patience for one another just a little further.

When I decided to live life with faith and walk in God's steps. For me this has been, to date, my greatest accomplishment.

Atacama, Chile, which is one of the driest deserts in the world. The scenery and atmosphere is like no other, especially when you explore the area by road trip and meet the locals. Also, a mountain spot in Peru near Arequipa - population of 2 families, a dog, and a lama. Meeting the small village, and trying to apprehend their lifestyle. Isolated from anything and anyone, no electricity, just mountains and themselves. The gesture and warmth that they represented was overwhelming and life awakening. A scenery that is not even close to a movie picture or documentary.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I am a multi-cultural person/diplomat and that makes the interaction with the rest of the world easier. I am perceived as a loyal, intelligent, warm, and open person. I have a passion towards helping those in need, which also reflects on my travel destinations and experience. I want to make a difference in not only participating and carrying the Miss Universe title, but to utilize my skills and competences for better causes. With the Miss Universe title I would get the opportunity and resources to finally being able to do more for others. I am drawn to humble people that only have love and respect to give.

To live my life like it means something and to treat others better than I would expect them to treat me. Nothing in life happens by coincident. Everything happens for a reason, and it should be our job to learn how to interpret all the events throughout life.

I am not perfect, but I strive to become a better person for each day that comes. I feel that my presence and the way that I carry myself should speak for my character type and personality. The most of time now I have to perform one's obligations as Czech Miss 2007. When I have some free time I spend it with my family, friends and with my dogs. I like driving a car, reading the books and make some sports.

Professional Part/From September 2005, I am a student on the Bachelor Degree level at the University of the Netherlands Antilles. I hope to obtain my degree in International Business in June 2008. After that I would like to enroll in an American University to pursue my Master Degree in Economics. My final goal will be to become a Professional Business Woman. Fun part / I love playing Volleyball. For many years I have been a part of our National Team and as such I have been representing Curacao in various International Competitions. I have also been selected as the Best Libero in Jamaica in 2005. In 2007 I have participated in the Fame Body Shape Contest in Canada. Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I was impressed of Martinique. The island is very hilly and very green. It was my first confrontation with a country where the inhabitants only speak one language, which is French. At that time I was going to High School and was enrolled in a French Class. For me it was a eye-opening to realize that in spite of poor command of French, I was able to communicate with the inhabitants.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I am from Curacao, a Caribbean Islands. Furthermore we are part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Antilles and therefore we are a part of Europe. This is why I have a Dutch passport. / My Cultural background. Our way of dancing, our music, and our food. / We are Multi- cultural. I am from a European, Latin American and African descendant. And finally, I was born in Curacao.

The best thing that has happened to me very recently (April 14, 2007) is that I have become Miss Universe Curacao 2007. It has change my life, and I am now actively involved in the preparation to join the Miss Universe Pageant in Mexico. I am looking forward to the challenge to represent Curacao in this Major International Contest.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I very much enjoy taking photographs, reading books, dancing and spending time on the beach near my home.

My best friend: I spent most of my time with her during my four years in high school. I learned a lot from her and I am glad she has been such an important part of my life while I was discovering myself as a person.

Most interesting places I've ever been are Miami and Palm Beach. I was only 13 years old and it was my first trip to America.

Growing up in Split, my hometown, has been quite unique. Anyone visiting my city would know what I am describing. In Split you can feel the centuries, you can experience the culture, architecture and language coming from Italy and many other countries during the past several thousand years.

My main interest in a short term is to represent my country the best I can in the Miss Universe Contest. Also, get my masters degree in my Invironmet studies. What I enjoy doing most is watching movies, specially Independent cinematography (from several countries around the world). It is the best way for me to know and learn about the culture from each country and region.

The person other then my parents that has most influence in my life is Peace Nobel Price Rigoberta Menchu. She lost most of her family in Guatemala when the Spanish Embassy massacre in the year 1979, and that didn´t stop her struggle for justice and peace in her homeland and for her people.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
God has giving me the opportunity of many things that make me feel proud. Naming only one makes me feel unthankful with God. I have had the opportunity to finish my bachelor degree in the University; leaving my homeland and my family to accomplish that goal. I belive that to accomplish many dreams in your life there has to be a sacrifice done, and that is the main reason that makes people feel proud of themselves.

My main goal is to be a very good environmental health professional, because in my country we have a great flora and fauna and we have to take very good care of that. To accomplish that I am starting to get my masters degree in Invironmental Health.

Monteverde. It is a National Park in Costa Rica, Rain Forest 100%. I went there when I was in school and got lost in the woods for about 30 minutes... It was an impressive adventure and view because you could feel and see the clouds. For a moment I felt as if I were in heaven.

I founded a charity program called \"Escuchemos\" (Let´s hear) for the deaf mute children and adults that teaches them to work.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My main goal is to be a recognized journailist and TV anchor. I´m getting good scores in the university and travelling throughout the country, therefore my deep knowledge of Colombia has been a very important aspect to reach my goal.

The most interesting place I have been to is \"Ciudad Perdida\" (Lost City), a beautiful indian town of the Tayronas located in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta north of Colombia and near my hometown.

As hobbies go, I enjoy grocery shopping, sliding on wood floors wearing socks, playing cards with my grandpa/showing him simple card tricks, working with children, tasting authentic dishes from various countries and shopping for vintage clothing.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
When I think abut this, I must mention two people that have had the most influence in my life. My grandmother is the most passionate and humble woman I've ever known and she taught me how to be disciplined enough to work hard and balanced enough to celebrate my accomplishments. My grandmother is my #1 fan and she has been a big supporter of any dream I have ever sought after. The other person that has had a big influence n my life is SIMONE, a 17 year old camp counselor I met while living in a shelter. She helped me visualize future success and reminded me there was HOPE to achieve success, and for that, I am very thankful. I always had that confidence within me that one day I would do something big with my life. Being Miss Universe Canada is big, but in my estimation helping kids in need to aim high is even bigger.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
I am very proud of having the courage to have taken a trip to New York upon graduating high school and creating modeling opportunities for myself through my Networking skills. I am proud to have Choreographed two shows at a children's dance camp and being awarded \"#1 Councilor\" by the camp director.
What is your career ambition?
My career goal is to create a position that incorporates my past experience working in the Entertainment industry and my current interest in social and humanitarian work. I began my studies in Sociology at Ryerson University but have decided to put my studies on hold to concentrate in my duties as Miss Universe Canada. I intend to complete my post-secondary education in order to have the knowledge, tools and credibility necessary to pursue my goals in order to help others.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
The most interesting place I have ever been is 'CARRARA', Italy in the Marble Mountains. Besides being the source of the world's benchmark marble, the people of Carrara is warm and welcoming.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I have had a very unique experience growing up. From living in a shelter with people who were facing some of life's harshest crisis's to traveling alone to New York City at the age of 18 and meeting The Clinton's, my life has been a very educational, challenging and exciting adventure. What make me unique are the lessons I have learned, the way I have learned them, and my desire to continue learning through new diverse methods.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
In ten years I hope to be very involved with raising funds and awareness for various charities and doing social work with children while simultaneously working in the Entertainment Industry whether it be as an Actor or a host of my own comedy show.

I had the opportunity to attend President Clinton's library opening in little Rock Arkansas. It was very inspiring for me to have met President Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton and their daughter Chelsea because it gave me the courage and confidence to dream big.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I love reading books and I spend a lot of time on the computer. I like to look my best, so I also like going to the gym or going jogging.

Beside my parents, I love my grandma. She means a lot to me and I always can count on her. She always supports me and encourages me.

I was accepted a student in highly esteemed university.
What is your career ambition?
I am studying hard and want to become a good lawyer specializing in criminal law. I want to not only be good but also want to be a respected and honoured specialist.

I have a green card and I often travel to USA. I have been around many places there (almost everywhere) because I like this country a lot. I believe that America is the most interesting place I have been to. (And I've been to quite a few.)

Each one of us is unique in her own way. We are very different individuals, but I am sure that each girl is better than the rest in at least one specific aspect. I couldn't really say how I am different, but I will show the best of me so everybody will know.

When I was 18 years old, I took a big decision, than changed everything in my life. I decided to take a risk to chase my dreams and moved by myself from Boliva to USA to persue my modlling career. it was very difficult, but I was successful in my goals. I am proud of this because the adventure made me grow as a human being, value life. I learnt to take my own decisions and to be captain of my ship.

Have my own TV program. In the short term I want to have my own TV program to promote the tourisn in Bolivi. I alrady have my time rady to start when I back to my \"normal\" live. Where is the most interesting place you have been?
Huarcardje is a very samll and remote village in Beni,Bolvia, it's unique and beautiful full of kind people. almost forgotten by time and technology with around 2500 habitants, the only ways if getting to this places is by CESNA, a small and scary airplane that takes 1 hour or on a small boat (Canoe), through the river that takes 5 days, and on the dry season by truck through a dirt road and it take 9 hours. In this small little town, they only have electric power from 7pm to 10pm every night, and only 1 public telephoneline, with works wiht solar panel, so when it rains it doesnt work. The eco-turistic potencial of Huacaroje is amasing with virgin lakes, lovely vies, and lost of wilded animals. I call this place my own paradise.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Each one of the contstants are uniqe and different. but I consider, that I am special in my own way, beacuse of all the experienvces that I had. I've shared my life with all kinds of people. cultures and places. I have an adventures and free spirit, that never stops. I love to give and help without expecting anything in change I've been from 5 stars to walking bear foot in the muds. Life is to short to be picky.

When I was taking part in the Miss Bolivia pageant last year and in the last days, I felt very pressured and alone, all the girls and I were at the agency gettin ready for one more event. I was sitting in the lobby waiting to go, feeling kind of down, when someone tell me there was a girl looking for me, at the entrance of the agency. I go outside and this young girl was sanding there with here bright eyes and huge smile on her face, I noticed that she was missing part of her arm an on her other hand she had an envelope, she told me she wanted to read a letter she had done for me. it said for me not to worry, that everything would be fine and that God was with me and that he knew, what was in my heart and that I would win. She said how much she admires me, asked me for an autograph gave me a big hug and left. That was one of the most amazing moment s of my life, that girl make me wake up and keep on fighting. I was in one peace and she was the one helping me.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My interests are reading, fishing, Sports, dancing, cooking, painting, camping gardening, support great causes involving children, traveling, modeling and nursing. I enjoy fishing, traveling and sharing nursing tips and information the most.

Bob Marley, not for the lifestyle he lived but for the many positive and meaningful sentiments, lyrics, for being able to transcend many countries and people all over the world just by means of his music, his meaasges and his words and without obsenity.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
Being able to maintain Dean's List Status at my University rates very high but my proudest is being able to promote Belize nationally and Internationally through my modeling and commercial works
What is your career ambition?
To be the Head Nurse in the country of Belize and continue to model,do print world for as long as possible and always involve in charity, specially related to children and the elderly.
What are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I am finishing up my degree in nursing with my masters is next, winning Miss Belize has provided many more avenues to focus on my charitable platforms and modeling endeavors.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
I have visited over 10 countries and many more cities but the one that stood out the most was Costa Rica. Perhaps because they way of life was similar to that of Belize. It was very easy and relatively inexpensive to get around the city even if you had no personal transportation and that make for more viewing of the country but what interest me the most was with it's black sand because I had never seen black sand before.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
Being Belizean, I believe no other delegate can claim this heritage, my life experiences or my ancestoral background which contributes to my mixed heritage of Spanish(Spain), Lebanese and Mestizo by maternal side while Latin (Mexico), Scotish, Garifuna from paternal and grandmother side. This I believe truly makes me unique.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
NEVER give up even when giving up seems like your only option. Take every obstacle or event as a learning experience.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope to be at the top of the nursing profession, married with a happy family, my own house, a beautiful garden, a boat for fishing and time to travel the world as a tourist and also sharing healthy living tips where I can, but most of all a positive role model for all young women.

As a nursing student I have had the opportunity of working with many Belizeans, adults, students and children as a nurse and educator in areas such as hypertension, diabetes, HIV/AIDS,and obesity which are very common in my country, along with many other illneses and disorders. I do enjoy the profession I have chosen and although working at the regional hopital and the clinics have brought me great satisfaction, I believe I recieve even greater satisfaction in educating them, taking on a more preventative approach. Belize is a melting pot of so many various cultures, nursingI allows me the opportunity to get close to people, learn more about their lifestyles and beliefs, which I truly enjoy.

I love to cook. I really enjoy a good meal. In the past I've practiced many sports, but now I'm in a lack of time. I also love to travel. I'm interested in the different cultures all over the world.

My grandfather. But he passed away 9 years ago. Now I still feel him and I still hear him inside of me. I loved him very much

My Auntie Pat is the person who has influenced me the most. When I was younger I spent lots of time at her home and she encouraged me to study extremely hard and as I became older she offered words of advice and encouragement. She always said that I should follow my dreams and she taught me how to balance a heavy workload. I learned my work ethic from her and she has always provided an eager ear for me to practise whatever I was working on.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I would like to be a diplomat and in order to achieve that goal I would eventually like to work for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to gain the necessary experience. I would also like to learn more foreign languages to help me facilitate this goal.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
St. John's parish Church. It is a wonderfully old church in St. John which is in the country and has a spectacular view. It is such a soothing place and I like to sit on the grounds walking quietly and meditating.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
I'm graceful, intelligent and well-poised. My professional training and living away from home has made me a more mature and patient person. It has also developed my adaptability and resilience.

One of my proudest accomplishment was completing high school with honors. I tried to maintain top grades, so that I would be able to graduate with honors and my hard work and determination paid off.

Presently I am pursuing studies in the field of paralegal at the University of the Bahamas. I hope to one day be sworn into the Bahamas Law Chambers as a Corporate Lawyer.

In my free time I like to read books and make scrapbooks. I also enjoy dancing and modeling.

Oprah Winfrey! She has inspired me to believe in myself. Even though she has had a rough childhood she is a very positive and outgoing person. She is down to earth and helps many people.

I have experienced many accomplishments on different levels. In the year 1999 I was crowned miss teen Aruba and Miss Teen International in Costa Rica. Another accomplishment was achieving my high school diploma.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I have an interest in tourism and want to own a business within this sector. In order to achieve this I am studying hotel and restaurant management and tourism.

The most interesting place I've been is New York. I loved the broadway plays. I felt right at home because of the wide variety of cultures.

I'm working every day with plans to have my first solo CD recorded so that my people can listen to it. I'm in the last part of my studies at the school.

I have travelled to many different places around the world wich I really loved but what was most interesting to me was to trip to the south of my country (Patagonia) I loved its huge mountains and magnificent landscapes.

I'm particularly passionate about the visual and performing arts. Currently I'm in my 7th year as a performing company member of the Antigua Dance Academy. The school specializes in traditional Caribbean folk dance, but other techniques are taught. In addition to the arts, I'm fascinated by computers, and I am pursuing studies within this field.

Veronica Yearwood, the founder and director of the Antigua Dance Academy, has been quite influential on my life. Like my parents, she has always been supportive of my dreams. She has provided me with many opportunities to express my creativity and I'm greatful for them all. Her guidance over the years has helped me to maintain the high standards I have set for myself.

My proudest personal accomplishment thus far is my success is within the academic arena. Through hard work and dedication I have been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships including the Ernestine Stevens Award; Alvin Morris Award; Cable and Wireless Gold Award. I was also the Deputy Head Girl at my high School.

I would like to become an entrepreneur providing quality computer network services.

Presently I'm enrolled in a network engineering associate degree program and intend to further my studies at a university abroad.

In 2005, I toured Spain for over 4 weeks while participating in an international folk dance festival. While there, we met dancers from Russia, Paraguay and Mexico.

Late in 2006, I competed for a title, and having won, became the owner of a brand new car! The catch? I had only just turned 18, and therefore, didn't have a license! I had to park the car for a few months, but now I'm a certified license holder

My interests are fashion, music and sure help my country growing up. I like listen to music, writing, messages on the internet, take pictures and sure go out out with the friends.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
When I was younger my painting was chosen to represent Albania in Czech Republic.
What is your career ambition?
To become a famous painter.
What are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I'm studying for that.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
Saranda, Dharemi and Vlora, the beaches in Albania. They're very, very beautiful. The beaches are beautiful. The water is very blue and there are a couple of islands.
What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?
My eyes are sweet.
What is your philosophy of /in life?
Live for today as if it's the last day of your life.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I want to be a great painter, a famous model, married and living my life with my family.
Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?
Being able to represent my people and change mentality of the beauty of the people of my country. I am also happy to show the world the beauty of my country since not a lot of people know where it is or what it has to offer due to the fact that we only recently came out of under the rule of Communism in 1990.
