Brooke Langton was born in a copper-mining town in Arizona Her father, whom she describes as a "poetic, foul-mouthed geologist" and her mother divorced when she was young. Brooke moved around with her mother, first to Illinois, then to Euless, Texas, where she entered her high school drama department.

Brooke later moved to Portland, Oregon, where she became involved in theater; she even spent a few months working in Japan as a model in commercials. Back stateside, Brooke attended San Diego State University, where she studied Marine Biology. By the early 1990s, she had settled down in Los Angeles, where she began to pursue acting full-time.

Brooke is currently juggling two television projects the first playing Jackie Miller, a single mom and Tim Riggin's love interest on the NBC hit "Friday Night Lights" and the second on NBC's new fall drama series "Life" as Constance Griffiths the close friend and attorney to Detective Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis) who after serving time for a crime he didn't commit has returned to the force.

She made her feature debut in Terminal Velocity, and it didn't take long for Brooke to appeal to mainstream television audiences. She had guest appearances on shows like Chicago Hope, The Single Guy, Party of Five, Young Indiana Jones and Sliders.

Brooke's first prominent TV role, was playing 'Samantha Reilly Campbell' on the Fox hit Melrose Place, she was a regular on the primetime melodrama for 2 seasons.

During this time Brooke continued to expand her range with film roles. She was the object of Jon Favreau's affection as Nikki in Swingers (who could forget the classic answering machine scene?) and followed up that with a notable performance in The Small Hours (1997) opposite Djimon Hounsou.

Brooke first starring role was on The Net playing Angela Bennett, a computer hacker who specializes in debugging computer systems that stumbles onto a plot to control the world through computer systems. Angela strives to foil the plans, save the world and get her life back.

Brooke was Keanu Reeves' love interest in The Replacements, and starred in Playing Mona Lisa, Kiss the Bride and. In between her many film roles; she has also starred in the TV series, Fling and had guest starring roles on Showtime's critically acclaimed "Weeds" and the Emmy Award winning series "Monk."

Other film roles include Beautiful Dreamers, which she also co-produced. Booke plays Claire the wife of a WWII bomber pilot (Colin Egglesfield) who gets shot down and ends up with amnesia. Believed to be dead, Claire finds him 5 years later only to find out he doesn't remember her. She also stars as Aviva Masters, alongside Dominc Purcell and Orlando Jones in Primeval the story of a news team sent to South Africa to capture and bring home a legendary 25-foot crocodiles.
