Noth

as Detective Mike Logan
Chris Noth stars in NBC’s drama “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” Dick Wolf’s third installment of the “Law and Order” brand, the second-longest running drama series in the history of television. Noth reprises his original role of Detective Mike Logan, which he played on "Law & Order" from 1990 to 1995. He partners with Detective Megan Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson).

“Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” which enters its sixth season in September 2006, takes viewers into the minds of its criminals while following the psychological approaches the Major Case Squad uses to solve the crimes. In addition to Detectives Logan and Wheeler, the Major Case Squad follows Detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D’Onofrio) and Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe).

Noth, originally from Madison, Wisconsin, is an accomplished graduate of the Yale School of Drama and recently starred in and executive-produced the original television movie “Bad Apple.” His upcoming film credits include “The Perfect Man,” with Heather Locklear and Hilary Duff. He was featured in Robert Zemeckis’ film “Cast Away,” starring Tom Hanks; Tom Dicillo’s “Double Whammy” with Denis Leary and Elizabeth Hurley; and the independent film “Searching for Paradise.”

Additional film credits include “Texas Funeral,” “Getting to Know You,” “The Broken Giant,” “Cold Around the Heart,” “Naked in New York,” “The Confession” and “Mr. 3,000.”
Noth received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance as Mr. Big on “Sex and the City.” He also starred as Roman general Pompey in the epic miniseries “Caesar,” opposite Christopher Walken and the late Richard Harris, and has appeared in the telefilms “Exiled,” “Rough Riders,” and “Abducted: A Father's Love.”

Noth recently starred in a run of “American Buffalo” at the Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. He played the role of Teach opposite Sean Nelson and Jim Frangione. Noth’s other stage credits include a successful Broadway run of the revival of Gore Vidal’s “The Best Man,” starring opposite Charles Durning and Michael Learned, and Christopher Shinn’s “What Didn't Happen” at Playwright's Horizons. He has also performed at the American Shakespeare Festival in Connecticut; New York’s Manhattan Club, Circle Rep, La Mama and the Roundabout Theater; the Seattle Repertory Theater; and the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.

Noth resides in Manhattan.
