Doug Benson, Season Five

Fill us in on what you've been up to since your season of LCS ended?

I went back to work at Best Week Ever on Vh1, making comments like "Did you hear Britney Spears is getting back together?" I also have played many comedy clubs, and gone on tours with Sarah Silverman and Patton Oswalt.

How did LCS change your life?

Lots of people come to my live shows because they were rooting for me on LCS. I've heard this sentence a thousand times since getting the boot from LCS - "My husband and I think you should have won." I don't know why couples are so into me, but I'm glad to have that addition to my fan base.

What's it like being on the road? Is being a professional comic all it's cracked up to be? No pun intended.

As the folks at McDonalds say, "I'm lovin' it!" It's fun to do shows where folks in the audience came specifically to see me, rather than a bunch of random people who just showed up at the local comedy club to get their drunk on. (Although my fans drink. A lot!)

Tell us a funny LCS story that fans never got to see happen on air?

Ant's hair looks more fake in person.

Any parting words of advice to would-be comedians?

Don't take my advice.
